Thanks for this video I am thankful you mentioned you may continue to add garlic cloves to your liquid. I have one that's from Jan. 2023 and didn't want to add more cloves until someone could mention this. I did wind up starting 2 new jars just to be cautious. Any other thoughts or tips? I saw one video to add 1 tbsp acv or kombucha FIRST then garlic then honey to keep the PH at the lowest around 3.8-4.00 as long as below 4.6ph New to all of this. I also saw in the 1st 2 weeks you could use a coffee filter on top to allow the gasses to release not sure if that is ok. Simple process with many options LOL

Thank you! I had already made this but was looking for some answers about shelf stability and the color change and you answered them both! 🧄🍯

Thank you for this. I’ve been wanting to do this with garlic we grew. I’ll give it a try!

Can you just use honeycomb in it by chance? I think that would make for a good texture with the garlic!

Hi can I use a plastic lid for mason jar or does it need to be the metal 2 piece?
@collette290815 күн бұрын
I think the plastic lids would leak when you flip it over. You would need any type of jar with a rubber seal.
@daveroski15 күн бұрын
@@collette2908 doesn’t leak when you flip.

Hi, I have memory issues and can’t remember if I burped mine everyday for 2wks. I’ve had it now for 2-3 months but I also don’t remember if it ever got bubbly. It’s a good size jar(maybe 18oz) but I only had put about 15-20small cloves n then covered with the raw, unfiltered honey. The cloves are floating completely at the top of the honey but still covered by it. It smells like honey n garlic(nothing weird or off) and I remember eating a clove a day for few days about a month or so ago and never got any bad reaction or anything but am worried now cause I keep seeing everyone talk about the bubbling that I don’t remember having. Do you think mine is ok or should I throw it out? Appreciate if you could answer please😊🙏🏻💯

I would say it's probably fine. Sometimes, it's bubbler than others. The burping is just to release pressure from the jar, so that's okay if it didn't happen. Worst case scenario I'd didn't ferment but it'd still be garlic in honey - delicious & still has tons of benefits.

i would not eat it. there is always a slim chance of botulism from fermenting honey and garlic. why chance it. sounds like something has gone wrong.
