@Ryan 420 "unusual for a v6".. It's the opposite. The hybrid cars have massive amounts of energy being recovered through the turning of the rear wheels and make much more torque than the previous generation engines. A higher torque output also means there is higher torque required on input from the driveline when off throttle.
@macemaster5295
@macemaster5295 3 жыл бұрын
@Toasted' Nugget_' Also the track isn't, it's just the sides of the track. That are bumpy. The tacks do have slight elevation change though. But it's all gradual to keep consistency.

To be fair, an F1 game with a simple home setup with a decent force feedback wheel and helmet view is not bad. Can also get an idea of how difficult it is to drive too ;) Obviously still no where near the real thing, but pretty cool. Especially doing the same track with a normal car after in an F1 car, the F1 has sooo much more grip.

I think you might be surprised how little they use their mirrors! These guys know where an overtaking move is likely to happen based on instincts, corner characteristics, the tow you're providing for the guy behind and how well you've come off a corner etc. Using your mirrors is one of the biggest distractions - it would be so easy to miss your breaking point etc if you're concentrating overly on what's happening behind.

I absolutely LOVE that the camera is on eye-hight instead of on top of the helmet, but could the camera not be at the right side of the helmet as well? Then we would truly see a symmetrical perspective of the drivers view.

The technology of camera in motorsport, esspcially F1 is such a magical for us a viewer not only see car,the on board, and multiple angle but also see on our eyes the driver perspective himself see on approaching each turn. Long history from the first camera places on the car,now on the driver himself.☺️

This is camera Formula 1 was missing! If F1 is listening, we need the helmet camera during the race, especially when they are battling other drivers for position. Blown away by the amount of corrections Alonso is doing that is missing on the T-camera! Love it!

Really appreciate that they didn't go for the wide angle/fish-eye FOV that we typically see with other helmet-cams (which artificially pumps up the "sense of speed" (groan) and dampens all vibration in the proccess.) This is a so much more visceral and accurate.

After watching this video how can they not marvel at the skill level these drivers have. Even the guys at the back of the grid have mad skills.
