@freshman927 i think he is better with liverpool because the english style is more suited to his play. i think the fast pace and being the lone striker is why he scores more for liverpool while with spain he plays upfront with Villa. To me Torres is one of the best strikers in the world however Villa (who I also consider one of the best strikers) is better than him when playing for Spain.

Probably because when someone says that so-so is Spanish, what they are thinking of is someone who falls under the Spanish Diaspora (i.e. what those in the USA think of as Hispanic). For some reason, people don't think that those from Spain can have blonde hair (though he obviously dyes his, there are some blonde Spaniards), blue eyes, freckles, etc. They think everyone who is 'Spanish' has dark hair, dark eyes and tanned skin. Call it media influence...
