After the car crash took his arm, Rick Allen came back to the studio where the band had been recording. Nobody ever talked about replacing him or what they were going to do. They were just happy he was back and he'd just go into a room by himself....and spent his days figuring out how he could drum with one arm - setting up to drum with his feet, and practicing day after day. The band admits now, they were just happy he was doing something, but in the back of their minds of course he could never do what he once did. One day he called them into the room and proceeded to play one of their hits in their entirety on his new setup using his feet. By the end all of them were in tears.

One of my ex firefighter colleagues in Sheffield was a massive Def Leppard fan, he was in charge of the first fire appliance on scene at Ricks accident. He was almost in tears when they cut him out of the wreckage but elated that he mastered the art of one arm drumming.

They sure have lost their talent. They have lost Steven Maynard and Robert John, without whom they have been unable to write a memorable riff or craft a decent melody in the worst album run of any rock band in history - 1992 to 2021 (and counting). Adrenalize, Slang, Euphoria, X, Yeah, Sparkle, DL. The fact you are still listening to this in 2021 should tell you everything you need to know. Doubtless they'll be back in 2021 to milk @40: Viva Pyromania; and then again in 2027 with Dystopia: Def Leppard @50. Hall of Lame

Wow - made respect to these guys for doing those backing vocals live rather than depending on tracks - not many bands nowadays would care enough to bother, and even fewer would be able to do even half as well as this.

Vivian Campbell is an awesome Guitarist and fantastic on vocals...doesn't get the credit he deserves 👏...Caught him playing for Thin Lizzy a few years back and by far the best Guitarist Lizzy have had in the modern era ...Top Top guy.

So cool seeing Phil using what looks like the same Jackson guitar he was using in the Pour Some Sugar On Me live shot video from the 80s

I have seen them live with whitesnake, and I have to say that his voice changed quite a bit, still a great performer, but David Coverdale kept way better his voice and he's older..
