So your experience with the Schwalbe G-One seems to be the same as mine. First ride: puncture. Every ride after the first one: puncture. Conclusion: bought Conti again.

G-One Bites are AWESOME tires..., except for one thing - durability. For that, they simply can’t be relied upon. After ~400km on my Canyon Grail, I had two rear punctures on tubeless and ditched them. Now riding a WTB Resolute front and rear. Much more reliable on first ride - a bit slower, but MUCH more bite in the soft Bavarian soil.

Try Panaracer Gravel Kings. I switched after WTB byways and G ones wore out too quickly. GK SS for speed, SKs for loose gravel and all round with great grip and durability.

So now you tested the whole lineup, GR 1400, 1600 and 1800 spline. What’s your favourite? I‘m driving a Specialized Diverge Elite and I don’t think that the 1800 would be much of an upgrade. Thinking about upgrading to the 1600. The 1400 is much too expensive for me

I think the width of this series makes them all a good upgrade from the more common, narrower, wheels. I guess the rest is all about your budget. The 1800 is great if you plan to get really rough and carry lots of weight like in bikepacking trips. They’re not likely to break, but if something happens at least you don’t break the bank as well... For me I just love the 1400 set because of the speed and comfort the carbon rims give, but not entirely sure where i’d find the budget to pay for them either...
