i'm currently using hydrogen peroxide to fight fungus gnats (they just won't go away i've had them for months and i'm LOSING my mind) but anyways, i think that peroxide is also really good to use every once in a while to aerate the soil cause as it breaks down in the water it releases oxygen and really helps aerate soil and prevent root rot as well!

Thank you for the hydrogen peroxide tip! I tried using neem oil/water/dish soap mixture for fungus gnats but I still see them flying around my fiddle leaf fig (neem oil is great for cleaning leaves though!). I will try the hydrogen peroxide together with my sticky traps to hopefully get rid of the gnats for good 😊🤞
@michelea23264 жыл бұрын
Neem oil really doesn't work great for fungus gnats. I suggest mosquito bits. Add 4 tablespoon of the bits to a gallon of water. Let it soak for 30 to 60 minutes (this is the recipe the VP of the company recommends). Strain out the bits and use that water to water your plants. This will kill the larvae in the soil and baby gnats. The sticky traps will take care of the adults flying around. You should be good in about 2 weeks. 😊 won't hurt to replace the top inch of soil of a particularly infested plant.

What kind of dish soap?

@@Scout_Harp I've tried both the Dr. Bronner's Castille soap and Dawn dishwashing liquid (in a pinch) and they both worked fine for me. The goal is just to stop the neem oil from separating when mixed with water. Hope that helps 😊
