Brilliant band.. one of the best live bands to see.. at one with the crowd. Being boran and raised in a pit village , Dad was a miner 9leter the dreaded overman! haha).. my brother was a miner too, on the picket lines in the strike, so this song really resonates with me

those images brought back memories. There are winding wheels sunk into the ground like that one all over the uk. Monuments to the days when we actually had industry and jobs before the foul serpent thatcher destroyed our workplaces and communities.

@@enigma.records6783 I like to think the big meet in Durham is this metaphorically. She might have closed the pits but the NUM is still going and she's fucking rotting in hell.

Cracking tune. They steel peoples self esteem. The biggest robbery of all...
@WyeExplorer9 жыл бұрын
I was referring to the lyrics and their own social cause mate. The establishment steals peoples self esteem a great many times. I thought there was some intelligence in the camp. What?
@WyeExplorer9 жыл бұрын
Ah OK mate if details such as this offend you so be it. Thing is if there was any humanity in your query you would have raised the point of the incorrect usage of the word 'steel' or 'steal' from the outset. The fact that you never betrayed your annoyance, which provided the motivation to be demeaning in your approach by stabbing at it with one singular word. Indeed, you have admitted yourself your comment was in direct relation to the incorrect usage of the word 'steel and or 'steal' and so therefore you made it personal. On this basis can we not continue the discussion. I hand it to you I used the wrong word and annoyed you as a result. Yep - so what.....

Not meant to be eloquent Severus. I was merely trying to protect myself. In doing so I had to think about what I was saying. Your know doubt a perceptive chap....ATB Mark.

Dogs are ok but in no way are they loads better, no scratch that, no way are they better than Levellers on any level (see what I did there? lol) each to their own, but Levellers will never be bettered

Considering the levellers were HEAVILY influenced by new model army.

Bit odd seeing grown men sporting mohicans and donkey jackets in ths day and age. Thought that sorta scene was long dead!? Being as this song is talking about the Criminal (In)justice Act was it recorded in the mid 90s or are Ferocious Dog just stuck in the past? Honest question.
@gearjammer36888 жыл бұрын
American folk singers are still banging on about segregation and civil rights. So it's good to see an English band go on about our own dark days. Good song too.
