Ferrari 250 GTO Series II by Roelofs Engineering driven on the limit at Imola Circuit!

Back to the 2018 Motor Legend Festival at Imola Circuit when my friends Davide458Italia, Italiansupercarvideo and I recorded this 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO Series II racing in the Gentlemen Drivers Championship by Masters Historic Racing.
The car is a perfect recreation built by classic Ferrari specialist Roelofs Engineering, a project that took over 20 years to reach this level of perfection. Lots of original Ferrari parts were used but also hand-made pieces produced in their workshop. It was completed 10 years ago and in this period it's been raced all over the World in the hands of Dutch racing driver Nicky Pastorelli.
Enjoy some track action both from the outside and inside the cockpit, thanks to a GoPro footage that Roelofs guys sent us (unfortunately not in HD quality..)

It is indeed a replica (and a very good one). But the owner certainly had to shell a lot of money for that. He first bought a Ferrari 250 GTE, had a new, replica 250 GTO chassis built, then modified the major parts like the engine and gearbox, etc. to 250 GTO specifications, and when those were done, he had the car clothed in a replica 250 GTO body (in this car's case, a 250 GTO series 2 body). That's what you need to do to have an excellent replica GTO that would be as close as possible to the "real deal".

This is a beautiful series II 250 GTO.However,it is not a genuine Ferrari 250 GTO but a near identical replica. I know bececause I inquired to the Roelof brother in the Netherlands as to acquiring one for my self. But not only is the body a replica,but most of the interior parts,the suspension,engine,gear box and rear end have all Ben identically replicated.
