Just saw my first one of these today. In San Bruno, California. Beautiful car. It was a light blue one. The one that I saw was in mint condition. Very well kept. Sounds very nice with the V12 engine.

That super rare color, Rosso Metalallizzato is just stunning! It's like a shade of medium pink/red and makes this car. I can see why you bought it. Never seen that color until this video.

Thanks for your kind comments. yes the colour is very special and as you say very rare. It also changes with the type of light it's in and does simply not come across in photos and videos so to get the full experience you'll have to come and see it for yourself :)

What a cracking car k Jetronic injection simple and you could adjust mixture with a long Allen tool, but keep filters changed regularly, looked like ZF steering box. Has to be the cleanest 400i available.

Stunning & beautiful colour. Did you drive it back from Italy to Ireland ? The roads there are much better than here in England. I've a Granturismo and get thrown around all over the place as they're cr&p ! I remember buying a 400i back in the 90's for just £3500 but needed work. When I found out the price of a full exhaust system (over £2.5k back then) I sold it !

I'll take what I can get :-) I bought another car 2 months ago in nearly the same colour, I'll be posting a video of it in a few days time. See if you can guess what it is? It's a 2007 car which is 17' 2" long with only 4 seats, has a 4.2 Supercharged V8 and is the only one in Ireland :)

@@paulgart Have looked agin and it seems to be Not the spring coils visible at the bottom of the shock, rather it is a rubber boot. so you should be Ok, At a glance it looks like a coil spring and the fact that they are not parallel just makes one think something is amiss. sorry to have given you concerns

Title: the 400GT and the 400i are different models. The GT was still on carbs like the original 365.

Thanks for the comment, it’s always great to see another petrolhead and have a discussion on cars 🤗 Ferrari call this one a 400 GTi as it’s both manual and fuel injected. The original 365 GT4/2+2 and the 400s are really elegant cars - (not so keen on the 412 re-style) - but I have to admit for a hankering for the preceding 365 GT 2+2. They've gone silly on price now, but if anyone knows of one that's been robbed for spares but still has all it's panels and glass, I am interested in resuscitating one....

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. :-(!!!!!!

I was speaking to a car dealer only last week in Hamburg in his showroom and he was telling me some of those very same facts, it’s unbelievable that this will happen but time will tell! I don’t think electric cars will be much better for the planet what with the cost of building them and the fact that most of the electricity still coming from fossil fuels and that’s before we discuss the minerals needed for the batteries etc!! Hopefully car manufacturers will will be able to get synthetic fuel to a price point that will have us all able to afford it and also keep the greens happy too!
