it does not matter when you hit the gas, the clock starts tickin' when the car starts moving. even if a car starts 10 min after it can win if its faster. Thats how you compare cars and not drivers.

In these kind of races cars don't start at the same time (safety reasons). This is not a traffic light race! ;-) There is about one second of delay between one start and the other. At the end of the race you have to compare showed race times to see who is the winner. In this case ferrari won with 30.3 against BMW that did 30.6

I love how ridiculously fast some of these SUV's can go considering how heavy they are. The Jeep SRT-8 is the king of all SUV's. That thing is 5500+ pounds and is still sooooooo fast!

I agree I dont like the way this is set up but no matter who leaves the starting line first or who finishes first,it's who does a mile in the shortest amount of time. The clock starts once your in motion until then you can go whenever. In my opinion some cars let the other driver go first then they go to challenge the car and themselves to see if they can catch up

It's fast off the line thanks to the big V8 torque and 4wd.. But it doesnt really have the legs in the long run.. Of coarse in the real world (70mph speed limits and all), it is pretty boss.

This is not a drag race. This is a timed race. It doesn't matter who started first or finished first. The race is won by the car that does the best time from launch to the end of the line.

Just in case no-one realised, they aren't racing each other. It's just who can post the fastest time from start to finish. i imagine they've done that to prevent huge accidents if a tire blows or something, at least there's a gap between the two drivers if something like that happened.

its not based off who crossed the finish line its based off the time they took to start off becuase they took reaction time into consideration...the Ferrari id it in 30.7 and the bmw in 30.9 look at 0:42

Because of the reaction time from the driver.. The real time was 30.379 (ferrari) and 30.672 (BMW).. With reaction time: 31.706 (ferrari) and 30.804 (BMW).. Thats the reason why the BMW is in finnish first.

Because what matters are the times...The time is calculated when the car leaves from it's starting position and when it ends....Doesn't have to do with the other car...Think---There's no way a X6 passes a 458 at the beginning of a Drag race...a REAL drag race !

No, the best RT time, ever recorded on Dragtimes was 0.014, made by a Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 R TUrbo K, 270 hp. Anyway, awesome RS6.

Only the end time counts. See for yourself, they distinguish the End Time (ET) and the ET + RT (Reaction Time). Conclusion: the Ferrari had a poor start.
