it is a nice wheel but it is not CF , or if it is it is a very thin sheet that goes over the brushed aluminum...what i will say is the paddle shifters are the best i have used.

😮Everyone this has no carbon fibre anywhere on this rim it is a brushed aluminium plate so if you look around the outside of the rim and on the back of it there is no carbon fibre weave at all so this guy hasn't done his homework on this wheel very well at all, just saying, keep on racing👍🙂🚗

@@nick-dm3if you just bashing Thrustmaster. The internals are all metal. The FFB is excellent. I own a T818, you probably don't and never tried the wheelbase. So please don't judge a book by its cover. Also the 10nm is constant torque, the peak torque is much higher.

New review. The quick release on the 488 wheel seems to have some fitment issues. The metal flap on the t818 can't close all the way with the 488 wheel. Did you have the same problem with your unit?

Mine also dont close flush to the shaft but seem secure enough and don't come loose.

Are you sure it is a real carbon fibre and not aluminium with a sticker? As where the buttons are there is a different texture which looks very much like aluminium same from the side profile where you measured the thickness, looks very much like aluminium

Someone already disassembled it and it's a Carbon Fiber plate and a aluminum plate

Sorry Sean but your dropping the ball first you constantly say it’s a carbon fibre front plate then again when saying how cheap it is then you make out Rev lights and dash missing is why it was cheap no it’s cheap because it’s plastic and aluminium with fibre “cladding”

It’s aluminum with a carbon sticker. Other guys take it apart. He review is fine but he’s an amateur. Other people dissect the wheel. It’s all plastic.
