Car Throttle and Road&Track state that the Dodge Viper can create over 1700 lbs. of downforce at topspeed. I'm not saying which one is better. I'm not here to try and troll anyone, because who doesn't love a Ferrari. But you'd think with all of their new designs, tech, active rear bumper diffuser(!), and the pricetag that they'd have well over 325 KG (716 lbs.) of downforce

Well obviously I have noticed it. It's one of the most prominent elements of the car. It would be interesting to see how much downforce it creates, minus the rear wing. I'd almost bet it's still more than the 488. It has a lot of tools to create downforce. I did some research (nothing too serious) and found an article about how much downforce the spoilers produce on Formula One cars. It had a diagram that stated the rear wings produce +/-25% of the car's total downforce. An ACR is no where near as efficient as an F1 car. I know that, but even if we assume the spoiler produces 50% of the car's total downforce, it is still greater that the 488's 716lbs. of downforce.

Also, I'd love to see what would happen if you put the Viper engine into a Cessna. I've seen videos of Experimental class planes with GM 350's swapped in them. The sound is amazing.

scottab140 The V12 in Ferrari is used since the 125 (in all the variants, so S, C and F1), the first car ever produced by Ferrari in 1947 (when they didn't use Alfa Romeo cars anymore), way more than 30 years.
