Ferrari 512 S Pininfarina Modulo with V12 Engine | Driven on Track by James Glickenhaus!

During the first test of the SCG 004C, the American automotive entrepreneur James Glickenhaus decided to take the Ferrari 512 S Pininfarina Modulo to the racetrack to stretch its legs.
This is a concept car build in 1970, based on the Ferrari 512 S race car with an eye-catching body that looks like a UFO floating above the road and powered by a massive 5.0 liter V12 engine!

my dear friend Paolo Martin designed the car.It wasnt meant to ever be driving.Glickenhaus forced an engine in it(by the way, for a ground up restoration, the engine seems pretty in bad shape...),Paolo Martin wasnt even invited to give any suggestions. Then , the car nearly burnt down at first driving attempts. And yes, designed in 1969 !, it today still looks 30 years to early to be in production as a supercar. Any other actual supercar just looks baroque to it

The point of taking it to the track was to do shakedown attempts to measure oil flow, engine temperature and drivability at sustained high speeds of 60-80mph and to make adjustments where they could, when they could, within a closed space. It was never going to be a “track day” for them; They merely used the track to ensure that it could be reliable on the street.
