Less so than you think. Experienced drivers get a feel for what is under them very quickly, and what looks fast to most is actually usually them leaving plenty on the table limit wise on a first lap, and more so if tyres temps and pressures need time. Watch a lot of Misha's videos and you'll see his corner speeds for cars in a similar bracket of performance are very similar. Certainly a step over what an average driver can do though.

The SF90 didn't even had full power. The "E-Manettino" on the left side was on performance, the race flag but there is even one stage higher called "Qualifying". Only in Qualifying the car has full power.. So it was at maybe 920hp. You see the boost line never filled up completely. Still a lot of power but there could have been a little more. ;) Still awesome and fast lap!
@wujekjutub Жыл бұрын
as an sf90 owner i can tell you that qualify Mode seems to be for drag racings, meanwhile performance mode feels more in cornering (aero stuff plus torque vectoring on the corners) that's my personal feeling.
@AlcatrazCrylake Жыл бұрын
@@wujekjutub Thats the normal Manettino for you. The E Manettino only controls the Hybrid system and it's power output which is only 100% in Qualifying. The normal Manettino controls torque vectoring, aero and traction control but it can be very possible that the higher boost in Qualifying makes the car more twitchy on corner exit. At the End I can only go over stats and information online. You have the car and if you feel faster or better with performance then that is what it is. Qualifying at least what I know would be the "Give everything option" like in racing. The car puts out all power it has so the boost maybe only lasts one round. The AMG one has something similar. It's called "strat 2" like in F1 racing.
@wujekjutub Жыл бұрын
@Alcatraz Crylake i was trying both modes on fast autobahn corners while I was going to nurburgring. there is A4 autobahn where there is no limit for several kilometers and small long corners. on performance mode, i was able to take corners more stabe on high speed (320kmh+) while on qualify mode car was less stable. (hard to compare on nurburgring because I'm not a professional driver) I can clarify that on qualify mode car is faster (100-200 does below 4.4s while on performance mode it is above 4.5s) not much difference but noticeable:) I always drive my car on CT off mode. even on wet. TC is killing that car and it makes it hard to drive.

Always felt like this car is a bit underrated. Crazy performance, looks good, and not limited production with crazy price tag like other ferarri's with this performance
@comeberza Жыл бұрын
For me, the thing is impressive but uninspiring. Its lacking a lot of sound and an f8 tributo is not that much slower. The car also looks a little less special than it should
@MrJohndoe996 Жыл бұрын
@@comeberza I’ve owned a F8, 296 and SF90. The F8 is a great car, but it isn’t on the same level as the 296 and SF90. Not close, actually. As far as sound goes, both the SF and 296 sound significantly better than the F8. The 296 actually sounds the best out of the three.
@AB-80X Жыл бұрын
@@comeberza As soneone who owns both an SF90 and F8, I can tell you that you could not be more wrong about the speed, and sound. The SF90 is a louder car inside and out. The reason is that Ferrari kind of messed up the F8 exhaust as it was their first attempt at OPF. Not that much slower? The SF90 will absolutely leave the F8 for dead. There is not comparison. And oddly enough, at say 60-90 km/h, the SF90 actually feels a bit more engaging than the F8. You can obviously feel the difference in weight, but the SF90 is an absolute monster on so many levels, and it is a very fun car to drive.
@comeberza Жыл бұрын
@@AB-80X you are the second person to answer and apparently have both. But if you read my comment, I said it lacks sound, not that the f8 has more. Anyways, this weekend and I heard a Roma and was able to listen it from half a mile al I guess new ferraris just have a deeper tone that cameras dont pick up well enough. Thanks for your answers

Us mere mortals would like to thank Max a 1001 times for letting Misha kill that SF90 AF around the 'Ring like that😍🤯🔥 been waiting for such a lap since forever!! You think it could beat the AMG Black Series if it had on Cup 2R's or get close to it?

Too bad Ferrari officially doesn’t care about the Ring lap times, I suppose the all new SF90XX with that aero and on Cup2 R’s really has a chance to fight for the new record time here since the sf90AF already set the fastest laps in some magazines’ tests

@@Mostlycars888The slightly smaller V8 in the Pista was producing 770Nm, a 30Nm increment from a larger V8 and with the hybrid components is just absurd! Ferrari in all probability is quoting just the ICE torque and not the combined figure!
