KING RONAN!!! He is a LEGEND! This guy is solely responsible for me catching the RING and Porsche bug! 18 years ago, he wrote an article for AUTOWEEK about his European delivery experience on a 2006 M6 V10. Back then I was just getting ready to make my first trip to Germany and the Ring. That first trip was 4 very slow laps in a rental E61 525xi. But Ronan’s article was a true inspiration and gave me a very good idea as to what is actually possible. I did do a European Delivery on a brand new BMW M2 Comp back in 2019. Ronan also had an article about his European Delivery experiences with Porsche and his 997.1 GT3RS. I also remember reading the article with all and complete fascination. I was also finally able to do European Delivery on my own GT3RS in 2023. Anyway, after all these years, RONAN continues to inspire, and it is absolutely great to see him in a Misha video. Mr. McGrath - you are my HERO!! 🙏🙏🙏

Misha, I drove my 992 GT3 RS there in mid May and had not been informed about the "new" curb on the left side coming out of Fuchrörhe. I lost control of the car and despite trying my best, I could not avoid hitting the side rails further up. Not a big crash at all, but the side airbag in the seat deployed and I ended up in a hospital with 4 broken ribs, internal bleeding and a punctured lung. Due to being on some meds to make my blood thinner and not coagulate, it became pretty serious. I have been driving the Nordschleiife for 25 years and more than 500 laps in all kinds of different cars, mostly Porsche GT3s and RSs. So I am very experienced and have never had an accident there before. The accident in May was really a "freak accident" and if I had known about the rebuilt curb, it would not have happened. This "new" curb is really dangerous. Also, Porsche have put in an airbag in the seats in the 992 GT3 RS which is really stupid and also very dangerous. If you are strapped in in a bucket seat with a 5 point racing harness and the airbag goes off, you will definately suffer internal injuries because there is no room for the airbag between the seat and the body. Both the safety marshalls and Manthey Racing knew about the airbag issue, but Porsche refuse to comment. Have you had any similar experiences? If not, I suggest you warn everybody about the "new" curb and also the 992 GT3 owners about the airbag in the seat!!
