There must be some final fantasy number shenanigans going on with this game. This is the 7th monsters game. There was three games a long time ago then there was the monsters joker trilogy with which they didn’t release the third in the west and then this game making it the 7th monsters game. Not sure why a bunch of KZbinr folks are calling it 3 when it takes a simple Wikipedia search.

This makes Platypunk the best starter, because you need it to synthesize Powie Yowie to synthesize the Abominable Showman to synthesize Balzack (!) to synthesize Pruslas to synthesize Psaro the Manslayer. Otherwise to obtain it you need to synthesize both Bludgerigar and Teeny Sanguini as parents first. That makes it the deepest branch of the family tree!

Rainbow eggs are available I believe after middle echilon corruption. Basically rainbow is available in act 3
