Tldr I think they looked at all sports and found that volleyball was the best canadate or among the best. Turn based battles have an upper limit in scope before you have to start removing depth from the creatures and most common sports don't come with easily translatable "3 actions per turn gameplay with small players counts and and a small field

Just got the game recently. I got a Silquil with Tactical Retreat right at the start. Carried me through the game with it's ability to heal after every fight, especially with maxed HP potential. Used the perfect gem on him post game instantly.

You wouldn't be able to patent the game mechanic in the U.S. because of its non-obviousness requirement, It is so obvious that is why lots of developers were using the game mechanic already.

I am loving TEMTEM, I got it off Steamkeys website, for $4. I already know it isn't an MMO, I knew it wasn't an MMO even when they said it was an MMO. I've been playing MMOs since 2001. TEMTEM is just a normal single player game, with pvp, and co-op added. They should just drop the MMO flag, if they still have it on their steam page. I have 150 hours into this game now. I just got to the 5th island! Been playing every pokemon games since 1998, so yea, I love me some creature catcher games lol.

Tons of devs make games that are already out there. If it makes money, they are going to push their own IP out to catch the popularity of it. Quick sales. Easy money to be honest. If I knew how to make games I would also be doing it lol

i soft locked the game 3 hours in. so far its pretty mid.

I remember watching Dinosaur King when they aired it on Saturday Mornings on 4Kids(or another programming block after 4Kids, I really don’t remember). The only similarities I saw it share with Pokemon was how the main characters treat their dinosaur partners like pets and they face a trio of comedic bad guys who try to capture other dinosaurs. Now I’m not saying that makes it a rip-off, but those elements were similar in some ways to Pokemon. If anything, it also had some similarities to Digimon as well as it includes the characters having devices to scan cards to evolve their dinosaur partners into giant dinosaurs.

I think they all need something like a signature move a the 5th move be a move that each nexomon can only have and it transforms or say evolve as well.

I started a new file after a year of not playing and worked to make Palangolin as OP as possible, with stacked AP Starters with the "share with allies" and spamming the old 1-2 i'm able to clear whole teams on turn 1. With maxed out m.attack on the MC of course.
