Thats kinda cool i got the cheap flexible "fiber optic style"cable one, it could be useful but usually fishing wire you wouldn't put an 1.25 hole, so kinda useless, if your running wire over a drop ceiling. You can use a piece of 1/2 pvc and affix an emergency flashlight to the end the kind that looks like an airplane director but mini, this gives you 10 ft of reach, and you javelin the thing like 40 ft if your good, walk down hallway pop tile easy to find the light. This setup is not aerodynamic enough and would smash and catch on everything, for vertical inspections it may work well. I would probably tape some tire weights to it though.

Yes. Just make your rod is rigid... the ones seen in the video wouldn't be able to handle an M7. In a pinch use a needle.

I know this video is 1.5 years old but now they have semi-rigid 33ft. borescopes (snake cams) with HD cam, 3-light settings, attachable hook end, magnet end and mirror end, and only like 5mm thick. All one piece so nothing no need for a separate fishing rod to attach it to. And it works via WiFi with iOS or Android and recharges via USB just like this one. Ordered it yesterday and got it today off Amazon for just $40 (and no I don't work for any of them, just a consumer). Would it work submerged underwater..?? Doesn't the wifi signal basically dissipate (i.e., gets lost) underwater..?? I got so excited thinking I could use this as a fish- and underwater-structure-finder in small rivers and lakes.. but I dont think that might be the case..

Not bad but, for those looking for a cheaper alternative, go to wish.com and purchase a wireless or wired endoscope and one of those pickle grabber things they can be purchased in decent lengths, then, tape or zip tie them together... I got both of them for under fifty dollars US... Only downfall is waiting the two and a half too three weeks for delivery... Works great and fits in tighter places...... Seriously, it's worth checking out. That's. Wish.com...
