Gary Hayers attempts an impossible mission, fishing a wire the entire length of a house with just two access holes. His secret weapon the Ferret WiFi camera.
This challenge electricians and electrical contractors face every day. Can this new innovation remove the need to lift multiple sets of chipboard flooring?
The Ferret is a battery-powered wireless inspection camera, which attaches to standard electricians cable rods. Live footage from the camera is displayed on a linked smartphone or tablet screen. The ferret links to the smartphone by creating its own wifi network.

Agree with Gary good bit of kit that I will no doubt purchase once the lockdown restrictions are lifted and go back to work. My Electrician colleague has one and highly recommended if you want to work smart. GSH are champions when it comes to show case new technology based materials and equipment.

A total must have bit of kit, saving so much messing about and the length restrictions on a traditional borescope style inspection camera, and very impressed with the quality of the picture it feeds back 👍

Wow! I wish that would have been around 40 years ago. I served my time in the 1970s. We had to make our own tools then. 14th edition days. I would have given anything to own that in those days! Thanks for the video Gaz!

Hey Gary, I bought one of these a few months ago, only used twice, bang on. Only small criticism I would have is that as far as I can tell you can’t connect it through an existing WiFi thus extending the distance that you can use it, just a thought. 👍

I was looking at getting an inspection cam or boroscope then I saw an Electrician using one of these bad boys they won in a Raffel and I was amazed at how much time was saved

Just wondered can you change the battery as this is rechargable the battery won't last forever if you can change the batterry would be perfect as its not cheap at all.

Should have used either a white or yellow rods , the red are stiff ones
