Like seeing what companies are doing. For several years I've used ronin tactics and i can't use anything else now. Their inner belt is a great EDC belt, and their task force belt is amazing and durable over time.

The one thing I like about the GBRS is that the Tigris is apart of the connection system when using the TNC MHA vs using my Ferro putting the TNC MHA through just the nylon which should still be fine.

Running the Bison myself and it is an absolute banger🔥 Quick note, while I think both belts are capable of 3-3,5k lbs, the GBRS one is not officially load rated yet 🤙🏻

Even though the Ferro Concepts lists the Bison belt as “Rated to 3000lbs”. There is a strict warning stating, “This carefully designed and engineered product is not to be used with a harness of any sort or for the action of restraint or rappelling”. Which for me, nullifies rating to 3000lbs. Just my observation and my little opinion.

@@JD-op6vn Thanks Jon. However, I have only commented on the belt and why Slade wasn't there. IMO the FC belt is simpler (less crap to keep up with), effective and costs less. Comments are designed for opinions. You have yours and you're clear a GBRS fan-boy and that's fine. I'm no one's fan - I just am discerning about gear. Been using this junk since 1990 in real world work...and if you'll look at what said 1 month ago about the FC belt, I did have negatives things to say about it.

@@dad2022 point taken. Everyone has their opinion and as the saying goes…I’m no GBRS fanboy. But as someone who has used both on duty, my preference is for the GBRS and yours is for FC. All good. Either one is leaps and bounds better than most others and night and day difference from the Sam Browne belt I used to have to wear.

After using both extensively, I have to give it to GBRS... In fact, it's not even close. My bison belt practically fell apart because of the following reasons- They somehow glued parts of the nylon to the tegris frame for some reason? I suspect it's to make the nylon and tegris layers stay closer together for longer but that didn't work out well because with safariland holster plates, that shit eats away any adhesive connecting the glue between the thermal plastic and nylon due to twisting motion exerted by my fat ass rolling around on the floor... You might get away with the true north counterparts since they don't actually mess with the integrity of the belt because they attach to the pals webbing but... yeah, that's the point, the pals webbing itself isn't actually tegris but tubular nylon sewn on the tegris frame... This is a really weird design since anything you attach to it sort of hangs on nylon pals webbing CONNECTED to the tegris frame instead of your stuff physically being attached ON the tegris itself. This design has the same flaw as the older molle belts with the webbing loosening up overtime so it confuses me even further as to why exactly do they need thermal plastic as a "structural" material? It just seems like they're hyping up the new and cool space material without actually putting thought into designing it. A few examples of belts that actually has pals webbing as part of the tegris frame: GBRS Assaulter belt V1/V2, AXL Eclipse and Blue Force Gear CHLK and their upcoming non load-rated molle belt. Maybe there's more but these are what came to my mind right now. It might seem like I'm hating on ferro but I actually used to be a ferro fan boy before I purchased the bison belt. Everything they've made had been great to me, from the fcpc v5 to all the tegris gucci PC add-ons and their famous slingster but unfortunately I really am unable to recommend their stuff this time around.

Anyone else you reccomend using? I’m leaning toward the gbrs belt for work now
@bebisibeb
@bebisibeb 2 жыл бұрын
@@taylor3880 @Taylor AXL eclipse is probably the best option out there right now. I haven't used it myself but I've seen a lot of good reviews out there and it seems like they really put a ton of thought into designing it. I think the GBRS belt is a bit overpriced to be perfectly honest, I like it enough that it became sort of a feel-good Gucci gear trophy item that I can trust my life on but you can get practically the same thing for 120-150 depending on which inner belt you buy along side the AXL. Hell, of it weren't for the ridiculous waiting time I would have probably gone for the AXL instead. However I do prefer the reversed Velcro design but that's just personal preference. I have also played around with the CHLK from blue force gear but their sizing is very strange so be careful. I think it is the first tegris framed belt out there if I'm correct but they didn't advertise the belt as a tegris belt, instead they described it as "structured laminate" or some other term but I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. But anyway based on what I see online and looking at where the Ferro failed, I am sure as long as you don't sew nylon webbing on the Tetris itself then the belt should be fine. Unfortunately, the Ferro design is just odd to say the least so finally, to answer your question of what I recommend, I would say AXL>GBRS>CHLK>any other ronin/blue alpha type belts>bison belt. This is just an opinion from a larper who likes to roll around and abuse his gear so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I hope you find whatever works for you.
@bebisibeb
@bebisibeb 2 жыл бұрын
Oh, to add. The reason why I recommend traditional molle belts over the bison belt is because I don't see how you can juistify ferro's price tag for something that offers absolutely nothing over the tried and true counterparts.
@dad2022
@dad2022 2 жыл бұрын
Do you realize that despite the “3,000lb”’buckle rating it all depends on that flimsy piece of adjustable nylon? That’s the weakness of the bison.
@guerrilla_tactical
@guerrilla_tactical 2 жыл бұрын
Let's be real though, no one is using either of these belts to support any weight even close to that so in actuality its a bit of a moot point. The main takeaway from the rating is that it's strong.
@dad2022
@dad2022 2 жыл бұрын
@@guerrilla_tactical I agree the components of the belt are strong by themselves, but you suggested it could be used for “rescue operations”, which it absolutely cannot. Someone will get injured or die if they try that with the Ferro Concepts Bison belt. You might want to put in a disclaimer.
