There are an amazing amount of people that can't admit operator error. If I'd maxed the sensitivity, refused to adjust iron bias and refused to turn on a target I could have blamed the 800 for having an iron falsing issue.

That looks & reminds me of the way "custom patterns" is on the CTX3030 are made. Just a bit different in the making process, but still the same. You've seen & done both machines Paul. Is the Manticore a bit easier then the CTX3030 ?

Darryl, you can have it as simple as anything or make it that complex your head fries. Yes very similar to the ctx.

@@jeffjones5432 I've been following calabashes rantings over this issue and whilst it's hitting him hard coz his passion is searching old iron infested sites,,Im thinking well that isnt my concern over here in the uk. But, I can see how it would be a big issue here in roman iron infested sites. So yes it's a huge problem and unless someone can come up with an answer, its down to relying on minelab listening and pulling thier finger out fast and update immediately or sales will plummet. 🧐

Morning, if people mess about with the ferrous custom setting then override the and save the program how can they then change the settings do they have to do a full factory reset or are these changes permanent...?

they are saved in one of the custom slots, and can be changed, or you can just select one of the pre sets to get back to basics

I think once they get a smaller coil it might help in this area.or someone figures out the best programs to save and try in certain areas.the manticore has 8 programs that can be saved that should work in al areas.

Robert, I thought you could only save 1 personalised program and that would be stored in the profile setting? It's early days but I keep hearing different info & my poor brain is topping out.😵‍💫

How come they don't have a none ferrous limiter that goes into the ferrous and a limit scan scanning in and out of ferrous and none farrous.
