Ferrum Forge Archbishop 2.0 First Impressions

I need to get an archbishop. Closest I've got is the Ferrum Forge/WE collab Malice in flame ano, polished satin blade. Gorgeous knife.

I love that knife. I almost pulled the trigger on the ferrum forge exclusive, that exact color, but I don’t like the cutout on the outside. I ended up getting the through work, from blade hq. The problem with the cutout on the outside is that it destroys my pockets. My ZT’s have done a number on my jeans and shorts.

Beautiful knife Kenny and great video! I'm blown away at not only our love for similar designs. ..but the kindred aesthetics details we share. That's the exact version I picked up on while watching the FF video showing the line last week. Enjoy that beauty

I just got this exact same one 2 days ago and I could not agree with you more on every point. BUT, the clip/lockbar cutout thing and how difficult it is to get out of the pocket may be the deal breaker for me. May end up selling on the exchange. It goes in the pocket, like you said, easily but coming out it snags every time and detroys my jeans. Not sure how they, when in development, could have missed this and not dealt with it. Would only need one simple change imo. Just make the clip longer to get it away from the cutout. So sad because everything else about it is freakin phenomenal. May sell and get a non-contoured one because the knife overall is THAT good. I just wanted this one because I love when CF is inlayed in a knife design. Love the combination of materials. But really liked yiur vid and is spot on.

Mike Gauthier thanks a lot man. yeah, that issue with the clip could’ve been easily avoided with a longer clip or something, which they might do if this becomes a big issue across the board. What I do is put my pointer finger under the tip of the clip as I pull it out, and lift slightly when it hits the seem. Helps a lot...

I just ordered the same one. I own all the Massdrop Ferrum Forge knives and the Fortis 2.0 and I just love them all and we knife company always does a incredible job. I also really liked the Chevron pattern but I don’t even see that as an option anywhere online. It’s just the other four patterns. I have a soft spot for a little cf plus it’s a ffkw Exclusive and it’s going to cost me the same on blade hq for the other patterns since I have to pay tax now making this knife a few cents cheaper 😁. Great first impressions video 👍

I think they came a little later from We, and they are going through them all now. Yeah, I’m with you man, and you support them directly with that version too, since it not going through a distributor👍

InThePocket I just got mine! Dang... I only recently got the crux and I love the design and al that.. THIS is a step up in every level! Perfect everything.. sharp... smooth... ergonomic as any blade I’ve ever held.. it may be my fav by far... the benchmade 765 is right behind it.. and if I were to compare it to any knife I have owned maybe a umnumzaan... smooth as silk

Tough decision, I would want the contoured handles but the lock bar mill out (without being able to handle it before buying) would make me buy the through work knife. But I’m still in the honeymoon with my fortis!

Wonder how these compare to the massdrop ones made by we like the gent and Crux been lookin at those but have heard nightmare stories about massdrop and wonder what the hrc on these are bet it’s around 60-61 maybe at the low end 59

I knew I wanted a contoured carbon fiber Archbishop after looking at all of them all but I was on the fence regarding the color. After I watched your "Visit #2" vid the choice was easy. Looks really nice. A slip-joint version would be great for the UK market (where I live). It should lose the flipper too as there are plenty of European countries where one-handed opening is an issue.

bp69 the archbishop is definitely a more universally appealing shape. They are both ergonomically excellent, but the archbishop Does have m390 over the s35, if that is something that helps you make a decision.
