Fertility Next Steps + I Bought A NEW HOUSE + CLEVVER UPDATE
There's so much going on! Fertility, Buying A NEW HOUSE plus what's happening with Clevver.
I also forgot to mention that I am taking a wood working class, y'all! And I'm pretty sure I missed a lot of other things that I was too flabbergasted to mention. I feel like the last six months have flown by. Investing in real estate and buying this house in the desert (Yucca Valley) has been such an out of body experience. One day we were chatting about the possibility, and then the next thing I knew I was signing a stack of papers with my new address on it. I am crazy grateful for the opportunity and I can't wait to bring you along on our home renovation journey. I am going to try and DIY a ton of amazing projects like a $300 kitchen makeover, building an at home office out of a closet, and learning how to thrift flip furniture on a budget so that we lower our renovation costs.
Also, I am going to put together several home buying guides and checklists for some of you who are curious about the process of buying a new home. Keep an eye out for some of the Tesla reviews, because driving this thing is bonkers and I have a running list of "things I wish I knew before buying a Tesla" that I can't wait to share.Subscribe for more fertility updates.

I am an adopted only child and an adult now. And I've never stopped getting rude and inconsiderate and hurtful questions. Adoption is a great thing for all people involved but it's also trauma for all people involved by it's very nature. For viewers, please try and understand that from an outside perspective and give grace to everyone involved and give grace to those who may or may not be considering adoption as well. It's expensive, traumatic, complicated, and a very complex and personal journey that isn't a simple fix for fertility issues. Erin I stand behind your choices and your privacy no matter what you choose!!

My best friend and I got into an argument when I was 11. She screamed “at least my mother loved me enough to keep me” across the playground. Adoption is wonderful, I love my family. They have never once treated me like I didn’t belong. But everyone else? That’s where the trauma lies. You choose whatever works for you!

Your comment on adoption is so spot on. We are planning on being one and done with the baby we have right now due to medical issues on my end, and also personal reasons as to why we only want one child (it fits our travel lifestyle better). So many people have said we should adopt if we don’t want to get pregnant again. That’s not the point and I think you made that clear with your comment on adoption. Nice to know there’s people that get it!

Omg, thank you for this, my goodness the end of 2020 kicked my butt and carried on to 2021. Diagnosed with thyroid cancer and test on test surgery and meds being worked out. It was hard, I finally started therapy in August because my anxiety was through the roof, but its helped so much. Better days ahead for everyone 🙏

We did IVF in November and found out I’m a poor responder to the meds so we didn’t get as many eggs or embryos as we expected for my age and diagnosis (30, unexplained). I think expectation management is a must and to go in with the mindset that the first cycle is typically your worst because they don’t have prior info on how you will respond. We had a failed fresh transfer and are currently doing more testing before transferring our only euploid embryo this spring. Best of luck 💜

Good luck on your egg retrieval! We just completed one before Christmas. It can be very overwhelming and be prepared for your body to not feel right, it's a lot of extra hormones they introduce! I think the hardest part is definitely the mental aspect of waiting for updates combined with the extra hormones 😅 we are still waiting to hear which if any of our embryos have the genetic issues from me (I have a rare syndrome that causes a lot of health issues), and if there are any healthy ones we can use. It can be such a deflating process but just keep thinking of the end goal.

I appreciate you talking about fertility struggles. I’ve been dealing with infertility for years and finally did IVF at the end of last year, still without any success. Egg retrieval was not fun but not as bad as I had heard from others. The most challenging thing for me was not the stim shots, or the retrieval, or even physically recovering from retrieval. It was the mental toll of the whole process, especially waiting for phone calls from the doctors office about numbers of eggs that were mature, how many fertilized, and how many embryos made it to blast stage. Even though I was told numbers would keep falling, it’s very disheartening. You are strong! Crossing my fingers for you.

Ugh, my biggest fear is doing it and then having to do it over and over again. I have a girlfriend who did it at 40 and had an insane about of embryo's that made it....so I'm just trying to channel that energy!

@@ErinRobinson Try not to compare your numbers at any point. I came out of retrieval asking how many we got and was pretty devastated that it was 12 while the other girl in the recovery bay got double that. Try to remember quality over quantity and every person is different. Also go in knowing you lose roughly half at each stage. 12 eggs, 5 fertilized, and 1 day 5 embryo was my journey to my now 6 month old.

@@ErinRobinson we have some electricic cars or hybrid ones but they are very expensive 80,000. A factory is being built in Germany to supply Europe with European demand. The car market and second hand one is gone crazy with demand out stripping supply. Parts issue and Covid shutting down factories etc. I can’t buy a car that’s nearly the price of a house where I’m living but it’s going that way in some parts.

I watch all your updates and have for a few years now. My heart hurts for you both over the past 2 years. However im also positive because even though both pregnancies ended. The last pregnancy was perfectly healthy as you said. As a mum of 3 after 6 pregnancies and losing 5 babies, I but... also had 3 beautiful babies who are now functioning members of society .. I know you will too. And these past 4 years will be in your past but never forgotten

We tried for four years to get pregnant. I have PCOS and because of the amount of cysts iv gotten on my ovaries it just wasn't looking like it was going to happen.. I finally made peace with it, I had finally become okay with the fact that I will never have a baby.. and then one day out of nowhere I asked my fiance to pick up a test and he said why it's a waste of money but I told him I needed it. It was not only positive but when I had my first appt my midwife after hearing our story she brought in a portable ultrasound machine and in the room was my parents and fiance... She kept telling us if we don't hear a heartbeat don't oanick it just may be too early. But it wasn't 😂😂 I was 16 weeks!! I'm praying for you Erin! I had two miscarriage the first was with twins and no one knows that pain until you go through it. You are so incredibly strong!!

Gosh, recovery is still a daily journey but I'm grateful to be on the other side of the really icky stuff. The vacation home has and will be a nice distraction from it all. Can't wait to share it!

We are starting our IUI journey next month, so a couple steps behind an egg retrieval, but I recommend watching some videos from the channel Phil and Alex. They went through a long IVF/ multiple egg retrieval processes and they are very open about their journey! ♥️♥️

Yes, it's hard for all of us. If we can keep our wits about it, usually the hard seasons teach us something. I feel VERY transformed at this point in my life
