🙏 I really appreciate that you go slowly and carefully while filming your GORGEOUS plants. I've repeatedly gotten motion sick from watching KZbinrs moving too quickly and/or erratically while filming their homes. It's disappointing to miss out on seeing their lovely houseplants because I'm just too nauseated to watch. Thank you!

Some of my videos are fast paced and may give you motion sickness, but when sharing info I like to take my time. You will know right away if its fast paced, they will be filmed to match the speed of the music. I do make calming and relaxing vids as well. Thank you so much for your nice comments!.

Hi 👋 I’ve looked at the NPK ratios on each of the liquid fertilizer brands I have around the house. They would be almost adequate if used together, foliage focus and super thrive. Do you think it’s ok to use them together or would they not work well together? Also I have osmocote slow release fertilizer and worm castings, do you think I can use all four of those together? I truly appreciate your time and effort you have put into the high quality work of your videos thanks so much and I will definitely be looking forward to seeing your playlist-Ginger
@junglenook9 ай бұрын
Yes, but I would use the liquid ferts at 1/2 straight.

Would it be good for indoor plants to use a 7-6-3 fertilizer with minor elements as well?
@junglenook8 ай бұрын
If the middle number is six you would want the first number nitrogen to be somewhere around 15 or 20 and the last number you would want that to be somewhere around 10. The first number really needs to be around three times as much as the center number or you will have a nitrogen deficiency

@@junglenook currently im unable to get a fertilizer with the same proportion you mentioned, do u think its okay to get an 8-6-5 and add a little urea to increase nitrogen a bit? Also is it okay to get that same fertilizer i just mentioned and add a separate algae powder to it?
@junglenook8 ай бұрын
You could, but it would not be good for the microorganisms in the soil. Algae is not harmful to plants or the soil. Maybe try removing and replacing some of the surface soil and letting the soil dry out a little. Why do you want to get rid of it?
@junglenook8 ай бұрын
and you will still be short of nitrogen with 8-6-5, I would hold off on fertilizing until you get what you need.

Whats your thoughts on vermi-compost tea for indoor plants?
@junglenook8 ай бұрын
I would spread a thin layer, about 1 inch thick. And let the sun thoroughly dry it out ( direct sun hitting the soil ) This will radiate the soil and kill pests. Then make your tea from that.
@youssefzohdi8 ай бұрын
@@junglenook im interested in why would you suggest drying it out first in the sun, Esp that every farmer i asked suggests to just make the tea straight from the warm casting. Warm castings seem to make the soil and plant very resilient from pests in the first place especially from what studies show.
@junglenook8 ай бұрын
If you use the tea a couple of time a month, that's all the Fert you will need. Or after you dry it out you can put a thin layer on top of the soil. It would also be good to add to soil when repotting as well but put in some perlite to prevent the soil from compacting and to help with aeration. Letting it dry out in the sun is important due to pests. I have red worms in my larger pots (in the house).
@junglenook8 ай бұрын
It will kill pests and eggs. I have had potting soil outside uncovered and when I use it in two plants I repotted I got the same insects in in both. However, without drying it out you will get all kinds of beneficial stuff Aswell. I do like you comment, Im interested in these studies. This is what I love about the comments. Thank you. did the farmers know you would be using it indoors, Just asking.
@junglenook8 ай бұрын
In your first comment you said vermi compost, I was assuming you meant from an outdoor compost. If we are talking about worm castings, you bought do not dry it out.
