As an older army, I have experienced many western boy bands and there really in no comparison. BTS has raised the bar higher than any western boy band can reach. Their dedication to their craft and their fans is crazy. They are true artists spreading great messages through their music.

Exactly this! Their performances are absolutely magnetic. You can tell in every stage that they have done, they give nothing less than their 200%. Every. Single. Time. They always being their absolute best to the table. You can feel their passion through the screen,their song their lyrics, their dance. They are incredible artists, performers, singers, rappers, dancers. It is easy to see why they climbed to fame. You will never see these boys give anything less than their best efforts. Never. Every time I watch a reaction video, I cannot help but be drawn to their performance and completely forget that I am even watching a reaction video. They are just THAT good They deserve all the fame, love and adoration they have now. I have been an army for many many years now with good reason. Their performances are complete. The lyrics, their dancing, singing and rapping, their facial expressions, their stage presence. You can tell that every part of their performance has been practiced down to the last detail. They are seriously incredible, and I absolutely cannot wait for them to all come back and tear the stage apart with their brilliant talent and passion. This is one of my FAVORITE songs and MVs!!! Glad you reacted to it!!! There is a lot of meaning to most of their songs! With this one they speak of something that any person who lives for making art faces: losing the passion for creating. "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." This quote by the late dancer Martha Graham opens the video and is at the root of the sentiments inlaid in "Black Swan." Much like a dancer feels purposeless when they can no longer express themselves through dance, BTS contends that the day that music no longer fills them with the same passionate fire as before, or even if there came a day when they stopped creating music - what they feel is their life's purpose - it would feel like death. Leader RM sings: "If this can no longer resonate / No longer make my heart vibrate / Then this may be how I die my first death." As you can imagine, we ARMY LOVE how they share their pain, hopes, triumphs, and love with us through their music and they give us hope. I am SO GLAD you are watching the guide!!! I think you said you're not a big rap fan..(I'm over 70 yo, I hear you) but this is from their album MOTS7, one of the best concept albums ever made. (my very serious opinion and I had Moody Blues original albums). Another song with a performance video from this album, that if not for the pandemic, would have had it's own album, is "Shadow'' by SUGA, it's a mainly rap song but the beat is enticing and the video itself is exquisite in symbolism. I don’t speak Korean fluently, but I’ve listened to bts enough time (and also learnt hangeul, the Korean alphabet) so I can say that their pronunciation is great!! I can actually hear the syllables and grasp the words they’re saying (even though I can’t understand them without translation haha) and as you said there are so many rhymes!! I think if you close your eyes and focus on their voices, you can hear the rhymes and how the music flows smoothly even if you don’t speak Korean :)

It's usually not about being "bad" at pronunciation. it's usually a stylistic choice. Many singers and rappers will alter pronunciation to better fit the rhythm or rhyme or to maintain better vocal technique, word projection, or vocal color/tonal quality. Some words sound more "correct" when the pronunciation is altered when singing. In English, vowels especially are often swapped for another when sung. Ex. "sing" might become "sang" because "sing" can be too nasal for that part of the song while "sang" opens up the note. The listener will still often hear "sing" mostly due to the surrounding grammar. "I will sang from the mountains" will be heard as "I will sing from the mountains" simply because it makes sense grammatically.

Black Swan reminds me of a quote by Martha Graham, a famous dancer. Her quote was « A dancer dies twice, once when they stop dancing, and that first death is the most painful » So i think that here in this song bts is talking about their fear of losing their love and passion for music suga opens up the song saying « the music no longer makes the heart race, that would be my first death I’ve been always afraid of » They are terrified that the thing that made them feel everything - their music - will make them feel nothing."I been always afraid of if this can no longer resonate," RM raps, "No longer make my heart vibrate / Then like this may be how I die my first death." And then Jimin sings, "No song affects me anymore / Crying a silent cry." They are burnt out by the thing they love the most. but they have hope and don’t let it completely paralyze them. "Slowly, I open my eyes I’m in my workroom, it’s my studio," Suga raps. "The waves go darkly by in a throe / But I’ll never get dragged away again." Jin then says, "Nothing can devour me / I shout out with ferocity." I also saw some theories about the « do your thang with me now » it’s like Bts is talking to their fans, asking them to support them, and the « what’s my thang tell me now » some people see it as if they represent how an artist can be oppressed by the « fans »that always try to control them Rm talked about how they were planning to take their hiatus during the era when black swan was released(2020) but then COVID happened and they chose to stay to cheer up army They also talked about dynamite being an unplanned comeback, how they released that song just to bring some happiness (dynamite came out the same year as black swan if I’m correct) During the festa 2022, they also talked about how they were feeling burnt-out, that they needed a break long ago and that they were finally having it So personally, I think that when black swan was released, bts were suffering from this

This is one of BTS best album to date. Map of the soul. It literally is a visual and musical interpretation of the human psyche Based off of Carl Jung’s psychology. They explore different parts of the human psyche from the ego, the self, the shadow etc.

The “Black Swan” performances represent BTS acknowledging their deepest fears and choosing instead to use those fears to grow creatively. It refers to the internal struggle of an artist falling out of love with their art. The song lends voice to the band’s darkest fears-the music they do will one day cease to touch or move them. Yet, every time they come face to face with this “Black swan” within themselves, they hear voices calling out from deep within their hearts and are stricken with the realization that music is all they have. This track is a confession of an artist who has truly learned what music means to himself. At the same time, it represents the hope and internal strength that we must have to hold on to what has made us feel alive at some time, not to give up, only we will be able to face our shadows and stop being our worst enemy. Black Zwan is from their Map of the Soul album series where they explore Jungian concepts of the Persona, Shadow and Ego. The shadow self is the subconscious hidden persona you have that holds your fears. To become a fully rounded person you need to confront your fears and accept they are part of you to form your full ego persona. In this song that is what they are doing. Their fear of losing passion for making music might have held them back but they confront that fear, accept it and can move on. In the video they are wearing white when they are being viewed from the audience and fan perspective, and they are presenting their persona to us, which is their stage persona. When they are wearing black they are showing us their fears from behind the scenes, from the back of the stage. Suga at one point says he looks inside himself and sees himself, he reaches out and touches the shadow that he was fearing and accepts it is just part of himself. At the very end Jungkook watches his shadow diminish and disappear - he has see his shadow, accepted it and can then move on. Their rhyme, word play, expression interchamging and mixing Korean and English is a thing of beauty. The lyricism is ia oftem like poetry. ARMY is very aware of the hard work, time, and energy BTS devote to their craft/art. But its always nice to hear someone who has experience from BTS'/performers/artist perspective who can also see and apprecaite what they do. And yes, EACH memeber is valuable and loved. If you keep going with this, you will see each person's gifts and how it all comes together synergistically. BTS is ALL 7 members. If one member is sick or hurt, the group will always leave a space when they are performing for that member. Also, the reapect, sincere gratitude, and love they have for ARMY is very special.

Hi Nathan. I keep trying to figure out the intro song since the 1st BTS reaction. And hah, I finally got it. It's Written In My Heart. I remember borrowing my friend's The Promise casette tape and another friend's Walkman way back in highschool to listen to Plus One. The nostalgia made me check back the entire The Promise album. Anyway, I'm glad you found BTS. I would just like you to know that for the Magic Shop reaction you did, that was a fan-made MV. The song does not have an official MV so sometimes fans would make MVs using scenes taken from other songs' official MVs. If you want to avoid fan-made MVs, since they can be very confusing with all the stitched videos, I recommend making sure you are watching MVs from Hybe Labels, the official channel of their label. Another official channel of BTS is Bangtantv for behind the scenes, vlogs, etc.

Magic Shop is one of my favorites from them. And yeah, there's a lot of favorites since it's really hard to pick just one when there discography is large and varied. You may want to try to react to a live performance of Magic Shop. Most of BTS MVs are super intriguing and even full of symbolisms that they lead fans to discussing theories and such. But BTS really shines during live performances. So, for full enjoyment, I highly recommend watching a Magic Shop live performance. This is a fan song. And whenever BTS sings this to the fans, the fans respond and participate.

Not gonna lie, I was a bit sceptical of your interest in BTS but the fact you actually started watching Taylor's guide on your own time impressed me. ARMY often experiences reactors who basically use BTS (and other artists) for views so a lot of us grew into a welcoming but tough audience. I'm looking forward to your upload of the guide and don't worry about the video lenght, ARMY loves long-form videos in general. As a side info, since you mentioned producing. Lyrics tend to be credited to the members while production is split among in-house producers, BTS, their CEO and at times, outside producers. Yoongi (or SUGA) has described it as a year-long song camp where everybody can submit their compositions that gets rejected, accepted, sorted, etc. When a composition is chosen, everybody has a say in how it should be further progressed which is why their music tends to utilize many layers of different elements that work cohesively. In a way, it mimics the group dynamic of BTS. So credits are like "roles" within the group, a person might be called the main dancer but everybody dances at a high level; specific members might be credited with most of the lyrics & composing but all members are composers & songwriters. This isn't much mentioned in Taylor's guide, that's why I thought you might be interested knowing.

Highly recommend the reactor Tribe Loui if you haven't seen him yet, he's one of the most genuine I've seen. He got into BTS a few months ago and fell deep lol, added a 7 to his Twitter and everything. And follows news on the boys, makes funny posts . He pulls up doolsetbangtan lyrics a lot of the time and has it on split screen. Takes his time to review lyrics. And then listens to the albums on his own time, comes back in the next video to share his more in depth thoughts on it. And yeah, he does full album reviews. He first took his time to deep dive into each individual member first, like discography and personality. And then went into their group discography in chronological order after that. And he watches everything, like everything. Interviews, Suchwita, lives, dance practice, compilations, Run BTS, Rise of Bangtan, AHL, etc. Even watched RM's indigo film interview and convo with Pharrell. He does things so thoroughly that it's very satisfying lol. He has a long time Army helping guide him through content, has spreadsheets lol. He even listens to some songs that most Army hasn't even heard of yet, the under the radar ones. I always come across some new BTS content I haven't seen before on his channel Another very genuine thing about Loui is that he keeps everything on Patreon free of charge, donating is entirely optional. He posts the vids that get blocked on YT there. So definitely a very sincere genuine reactor. The type of reactor who is worthy of support

BTW, I grew up listening to Christian music only. By the time your group Plus One came around, I was in college and out of the individual/group singers phase (more on worship group music like Passion and others). But in the 90s, my favorite was 4HIM. Anyways... thank you for giving BTS a chance. Their message is positive and good which is why they resonate with so many people regardless of age and walk of life. Also, their lyrics are about life in general and they are very particular about their word choice which allows us as listeners (after reading the lyrics) to be able to apply it individually. For example, when they sing about a struggle with a relationship- it's written in a way that it may apply to a romantic relationship, or a familial relationship or one that you have with a friend. Thank you for the compliment about their dancing. In my opinion they are The Best dancers of any group ever at any time! When I first discovered them, February 24, 2020, I happened to be watching the Jimmy Fallon show. BTS performed "On" for the first time at Grand Central Station in NYC. I had never heard of them. Being a musical theatre person and choreographer, I was overwhelmed and mesmerized. I KNEW what it took to pull off that impeccable production. I immediately got on KZbin to find out all about them. From that day, I've been watching BTS content every day. I never saw them make a dance mistake until after 6 months! One guy, RM, made one misstep. That's it. A brief history as why they are so good. When they started our they couldn't get booked. They weren't a part of the richest famous Big 3 Kpop organizations. Their boss, Mr. Bang, said...if they get booked it was like a one in a million chance to get noticed. His strategy was to have them perform The Best Choreography. The most in step. No mistakes. The most polished. Something no one had seen before. The most perfect. The "boys" practiced and practiced for hours and hours. They even had to look at the same spot. Their head and eye placement had to have the exact same focus. Jin had never danced before so after practice, he hired a tutor to help him learn and get better. Changing from contemporary to HipHop, Jimin had a hard time adjusting to the style. He started sleeping in the dance studio and would practice extra hours, too. They became highly polished, and they were noticed! And thus began their legacy and reputation as The Best dancers. At their last concert together before solo work and military assignments, they performed a brand new song and choreography. "RunBTS". The intricate choreography, the length of the song, the energy required to dance it, the coordination with a stage full of backup dancers, the tricky tricks they pulled with props, the perfect performance is still a WOW for all of Army and the world that witnessed the performance. So your observation and praise about their dance quality is very much appreciated. Oh, not to forget.. they dance all genres of dance. Not just KPop kpoppy dances!

To echo the person before me. When an artist loses their craft it has always been considered their first death. Something I hope NEVER happens to BTS. When you talk about the countless hours honing your craft they talk about this in the DOPE MV. The whole song is a message for their haters. Hi! 51 year old ARMY from TN here. I had never been in a fandom before finding BTS in 2014. I have always loved music but never dug into the meaning of the lyrics or about the history of the artists or anything like that until finding BTS. Before BTS, I listened to pretty much every genre of music. Now, however, I almost only listen to BTS. There are a few other Korean acts that I am quite fond of but I don't consider myself part of their fandoms. You might want to check out the work of the producer/artist Primary. RM once did a feat on a track called U. Then there is Epik High. They are a legendary hip hop group that had a huge influence on BTS. You will hear mentioned in several places that both RM and Suga were inspired by Epik High and specifically their track Fly. Epik High has been around since 2001 so they have a pretty extensive discography like BTS. Also, the leader of the group Tablo has a solo career as well. Tablo feats on RM's track All Day from his Indigo album and Suga produced a track called Eternal Sunshine for Epik High's Sleepless In ________ album. There is the singer Eric Nam. He is a Korean American polyglot who chose to go to Korea to pursue a music career. He is also kind of the go to interviewer when big celebs go to Korea (if he is not busy with his own work). Finally, I would like to mention a group called MFBTY. They are a 3 person group made up of husband and wife team Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae and their friend Bizzy. Tiger JK used to be part of a hip hop duo called Drunken Tiger back in the day and is often called the grandfather of K hip hop. RM has featured on a track called BuckuBucku for MFBTY and a track called Timeless for Tiger JK. Those are the other main K acts that I listen to. I am not going to lie, I find it difficult to listen to American radio anymore. Anyway, thanks so much for your reactions-love them! Please do whatever makes you comfortable. They were one of the first groups to use youtube to communicate with personal logs because no one would give them air time. That has taken them to where they are today. Check out MMA2019 live award show performances, it's like a full concert. Namjoon thinks different and they revere him as a poetic lyricist. He is a genius, really. The song concept was inspired by the quote ""A dancer dies twice -- once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." and is something many artists and performers encounter. This song was written during the time that the members were experiencing extreme burnout, exhaustion, and contemplating disbanding. They were afraid of losing their passion for music and performing and ending up just going through the motions. The shadow represents the spectre of this, always lingering in the background, potentially growing, until one day, you lost your passion. There are a lot of subtle references and symbolism in the video that are easy to miss as viewers are focused on the performer. Look at the white costumes; some of them have bits of black on them, feathers or black dye creeping up the sleeve or the base of the jacket representing the "black swan" starting to grow in them. The shadows behind each member when they are singing their part move of their own accord and not an image of what the singer is doing. Again representing that the shadow of the blackness that always follows them has a life of its own. You noticed the shadow on the wall behind Yoongi when he was singing but look at the scene when RM is singing. His shadow is on the ceiling above him and also moving of its own accord, not reflecting his movements. Look at Jin in the scene at the 2:30 minute. He is staring at his reflection in a multitude of mirrors but do you notice that when he turns his head back to look into the camera, his reflection does not change. We should see his head move in the mirrors and see the back/side of his head but we don't. We still see his face representing that he is fracturing into multiple personas and losing himself. The same thing when Jin is walking past a wall of mirrors singing; there is no reflection of him. He is dressed in black perhaps signifying the complete loss of himself and therefore that could be why his reflection does not appear. A lot of the scenes where they are dressed in black have dance movements that appear writhing, perhaps showing the struggle to fight the blackness. The final scene where the shadow behind Jungkook becomes smaller and disappears indicates that they are still strong enough to overcome the loss of the passion and the blackness waiting to overtake them diminishes. Not today, shadow, not today.

I’ve watched your reactions because you have a unique perspective having been in a musical group/band. You might know how hard the industry can be and really understand their struggles along the journey to success. You may not have a hip hop background, but you would appreciate the entire package of vocals, rap, production, dance and style. This was filmed in a disused theatre in LA which is often used in films. The mirrored room Jin is in is the ladies loo. This showcases Jimin’s dancing and you can find a video of him filming his part. There is also a behind the scenes of the whole shoot.

Great job! A "Black Swan" refers to an out-of-the-ordinary event that has extreme impact. The term was first applied as a metaphor for that which could not exist by Roman satirist Juvenal. In 82 AD he wrote of "a rare bird in the lands, and very like a black swan." According to the description of “Black Swan” on Melon, Martha Graham’s quote was the inspiration for the song. “Black Swan” tells the story of a dancer, an artist, who fears the death of their career: the moment when they can no longer perform on stage. The moment when music no longer touches BTS’s hearts or stirs their passion is the moment when the specter of that “first death” appears. looking at Martha Graham’s life, fans may notice some similarities between her work and BTS’s. For instance, in her 70-year career, Martha Graham choreographed 181 ballets, some of which were inspired by Greek mythology. The lyrics are more poetic in Korean. Army uses doolset lyrics for the best translations. Based on the famous quote by Martha Graham, "a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful.” and also the famous ballet Swan Lake. In Swan Lake there are 2 swans, one white/good and the other black/evil. In most modern productions, both roles are played by the same dancer. Symbolizing the struggle within oneself between light and dark. BTS did a whole grouping of songs( and albums) about the shadowself. On a more basic level its about losing your passion and then consequently losing yourself. They have other videos based on Carl Jung's ideas and the book Daemian by Hermann Hesse about becoming an adult. So interesting!!!! The live performances of this song are jist stunning and they change it for every performance. I love the oriental instrumentation, think it's an erhu, and the bass. There are so many layers to this video. Parts of it are a continuation of the Bangtan Universe story. Part of it is a response to what they went through when they almost broke up in 2018 and part of it is pure art. Personally, I think this is their opus magnum...thus far. The last shot has to do with the idea of individuation in the psychology of Karl Jung which was focal in the Map of the Soul & album this song is part of. BTS was going through a period where emotionally dedicating to the increasing glory of endlessly self-identifying as a K Pop Idol group was trapping them in Personas. It was not allowing for genuine individuality in their artistic expression. Ever increasing fame was both trapping them and in a way smothering them. Jung states as the light grows more intense shadows become longer. Jung believes there is a repository of subconscious largely repressed ideas and emotions which is part of the Psyche he calls the Shadow. Indeed, BTS has songs with clear Jungian references called Persona, Shadow and Ego on this album. These connect to the idea that when use of Personas becomes so successful as to be exercised with little self-reflection, Shadow elements tend to leak from subconscious into consciousness causing dissonance. This tends to disrupt some of the individual's confidence or investment in these Personas. In Black Swan, the lyrics seem to speak of artist burn out, but it is a bit more complicated than that. It is recognizing the intrusion of Shadow elements and accepting these by integrating them in such a way as to mold a new path forward. This is Jung's concept of individuation. J Hope says "in the deepest depths, I saw myself". Suga says "slowly I open my eyes...I"ll never get dragged away again, inside I saw myself." Jin says "nothing can devour me." These lines show they are individuating as they are seeing beyond their weakened Personas. So to the final scene, Jungkook almost dispassionately watches the Shadow diminish. He no longer is being overwhelmed by the Shadow's presence having individuated. The theater is an interesting choice as we can think of a drama being acted out in the theater of the mind. Even the hallway with RM has a shadow dancing on the ceiling. So having Jungkook view the shadow shrinking on stage from the Mezzanine then walking out of the theater speaks to a new path forward having individuated. Jung never said this is something to rejoice. Doing so does not leal to an immediate this is wonderful. It is just what need to be done to proceed healthfully. Any joys will come with time and living the new normal.

Fun fact: The dancer that came up with this choreography is Brazilian and there are a lot of capoeira elements into it. And, of course, Jimin takes that to another level. Legend. All 7 are amazing dancers. They have an Olympic athlete's level of physical endurance training and lifestyle. It's not something that can be achieved only with a kpop company's expectations and demanding schedule. They each had and have put in work waaay beyond that. That's why a lot of hyped groups, even from their own company, can't seem to keep up with them. It's crazy.

Highly recommend the reactor Tribe Loui if you haven't seen him yet. He got into BTS a few months ago and fell deep lol, added a 7 to his Twitter and everything. And follows news on the boys, makes funny posts . He pulls up doolsetbangtan lyrics a lot of the time and has it on split screen. Takes his time to review lyrics. And then listens to the albums on his own time, comes back in the next video to share his more in depth thoughts on it. And yeah, he does full album reviews. He first took his time to deep dive into each individual member first, like discography and personality. And then went into their group discography in chronological order after that. And he watches everything, like everything. Interviews, Suchwita, lives, dance practice, compilations, Run BTS, Rise of Bangtan, AHL, etc. It's very satisfying lol. The theater they're in is a real place. It's an old theater in... LA, I think that often gets rented out for filming purposes. The shadows you noticed are a practical effect rather than a digital one. Jimin was the shadow for Suga at the beginning, and Jungkook at the end. j-hope was the shadow (on the ceiling) for RM's part. They released a behind the scenes video (they almost always release behind the scenes content for not just their MVs, but for a lot of their public appearances as well) where you can see a lot of what went into the staging and hear the guys' own thoughts during the process.

to your question about the lyrical flow in korean -- i can speak the language now and understand the flow while listening, but when i first starting listening to korean songs, i noticed that the song alone, without the music video, showcases the beauty of the language even more. with the way korean words and sentences are structured, i personally think it's way more satisfying in a song than english. there's a certain percussive characteristic to the cadence, many of the vowel sounds are open in a way that makes singing the words sound even better whereas in english the vowel sounds are often changed while singing to achieve that same effect, there are fewer phonemes than in english so it sounds melodic and rhythmical even when just speaking/without trying, and korean has tons of onomatopoeias that add an extra sensory layer. i'd say just try listening to the lyrics as if they're just another instrument -- catch the sounds without trying to understand the meaning EDIT: this is a perfect song for you to dive into the lyrics more. as a musician i think you'll relate

One thing you have to remember when reacting to any BTS song is that there is always an accompanying in-depth explanation for each and every song they release. Always star with the MV, follow it up with the explanation video of that specific song and then watch the behind the scene video of how they built up the concept and sequencing of their MVs. It is in fact a Theater in LA called, wait for it ... The Los Angeles Theatre. 😁. Jimin did all the shadows except for those of RM's which J-Hope did that shadow. Jimin is the contemporary dancer so this was his song. He loved this song. RM did help create the lyrics. This song was part of the 7 album it was the B side to the "On" video so that was the reason it was more subdued. This song was written as you know of all the Martha Graham quotes, because they were coming up to their 7th year in the industry when most bands disband or start pealing off to go into the military. They had worked non stop until this year without a break, in 2018 they had even thought of disbanding because of all the pressure they recieved at the hands of all those agencies that felt they didn't deserve to be on top many of their peers who were jealous of their fame and treated them like wannabes and all the fans of other bands that were out right crazy calling for their deaths for even daning to be ahead of their bands that they loved and thought were way better than them. They were exhausted by 2020 and in January they put out both "On" and "Black Swan" within days of each other. They had planned a world tour for this album and were excited to finish this year with a bang and then go on hiatus to complete their military service. This song as well as "On" were both the high and low of what they felt was gonna be their no pun swan song. If you notice it says they felt mired in the grind. This is from doolset a Korean that understand the language of their music. "It again seizes my ankle that lost the path, yeah yeah yeah Note: Path is another hidden track of their discography (2 Cool 4 Skool; BTS’ debut single album), where they talk about their path as artists at the onset of their career. In Black Swan, it is the fear of losing the pure passion and love for music that makes them feel lost (in the first half the song) and stand back up again (in the second half of the song). It might be a far stretch to link Sea and Path as the words 바다 (sea) and 길 (path) are not particularly uncommon. But given that they are “hidden” tracks, and that, here in Black Swan, BTS talks about their “hidden” shadow, I think it’s cool to think about the connection. 어떤 소리도 들리지 않아 Yeah yeah yeah No sound can reach me, yeah yeah yeah" Then it says "Film me now" and we again go to doolset Film it now Note: Every moment, even the moment where they struggle at the bottom of the sea, becomes eternity because it is filmed. This reminded me of the scene where people were holding their phones up to take pictures of SUGA in Interlude : Shadow and concept photos (S version) of LOVE YOURSELF: Answer. This song is very poignant and profound. I love this song. I am sure others have told you about doolset but I think they are the best for explaining the Korean lyrics as they are written. There is a a behind the scenes video. This is a awesoe performance. Jimin studied comptemporary dance, his skill is featured in the video. You should react to some of their live Asian award show erformances. They get to do much longer performances than the US shows allow. Their MMA performance in 2018 and 19 were epic, Their 2016 MAMA performance oopens witht Jhope dancing and Jimin is performing the same steps, only blindfolded.

Oh and as for their Korean delivery - I'm very very far from fluent but I've been studying it and it's a lot easier to hear the rhymes now. The lyrics flow much better than the translations 😂 There's a shooting sketch for this music video that's great and another behind the scenes of just Jimin recording that dance solo. Both very worth checking out. The meaning of the song is pretty straightforward but that last shot is open for interpretation 😂 and yeah if you want to deep dive into lyrics I'd enjoy that!

Their music and their lyrics are great but I think the biggest part of their popularity is their performances AND choreography. Keep watching the official videos and definitely stage performances, nothing compares.
