thanks for this talk; so fun to listen about this beautiful area of the world. i went to ireland solo for two weeks in april and it was just lovely. i combined bus travel, day tours and car hire. the most overrated place i experienced was kylemore abbey. i could have spent five minutes to get a nice pic across the lake but was stuck there for three hours as part of a day tour. 😒 i visited scotland in 2001 and would kill to go again. highlight: glencoe and the highlands overall. england is one of my fav places to visit. i’m currently developing an individual itinerary to get more off the beaten path next time. and this time, i’ll hire a car since i drove in ireland and found it to be very easy after the first day or so of adjustment. 😊

These are my favorite places. I lived a year in Yorkshire a long time ago. A comment about the image used for walking Hadrian’s wall: It's been quite a long time since I was there but I do remember there were signs to not walk on the wall. One walks next to the wall

Christopher Wren saw the St Paul's Cathedral topped at 71 yrs old, but he *lived til he was 90, it wasn't really "in his last years." He had 19 more :)

Lol small population?? I dont think Irish people would agree with our housing crisis (for young irish people and tech immigrants) and Ukraine/Refugee immigrants; English language south american students; healthcare immigrants etc
