FYI (and AFAIK): The OF2200 set is not sold in the America's because the combination of 2200 Watts and 110 Volts exceeds the rated capability Amperage of the switch on the CMS-GE. Just discovered your channel and so far so good !

It’s a shame as the OF2200 in the CMS would make a great combination.I did hear that in AMS the OF2200 could not be mounted in the CMS, but yours is the first tangible explanation as to why. The Woodgrafter Bert is correct. The OF2200 needs to pull twice the current when it only has half the voltage available. In Europe, it draws up to 9.1Amps at 240Volts, so in NA, it would draw up to 20A at 110V. The additional connection between the router and the CMS would also add a little resistance, adding further to the load. If you look at the switch on the CMS, I suspect it is rated for something like 16A.

Sharif Shahwan Hi Sharif, I pooped into the workshop and had a quick look. The switch is rated for 13.5A So you are both correct that is the reason why you can’t use the 2200 in AMS. Thank you for the comments. Andy

The Woodgrafter No problem. On the matter of the TS55 insert, that doesn’t pass safety rules in the US for some reason (amazing when you see how the Table saw has traditionally been used over there). I’m not sure but I think those rules may only apply to professional situations, and so Festool just opted to not sell it at all and avoid potential legal issues arising. There are plenty of examples of people grey importing them from Europe for personal use but if a commercial workshop were caught using it, they could be in trouble with OSHA (their HSE equivalent).

Sharif Shahwan I did not know that, it’s strange how Health & Safety get involved and have different views. So folks then import or create ways around things that are ultimately more dangerous to the end user and those around them. I’d be interested to see what the issue is with the TS55. I just checked and they actually do a 110v version of the CMS in the UK, and that doesn’t seem to have a restriction on 2200 - so it looks like the technology exists in Festool. It would be interesting to see if there are any other reasons. Cheers Andy

Thanks for this vid. Just been using my CMS for the first time with the OF 2200. Found that the dust extractor can't be connected to the router when the table is collapsed. Other than that it's a handy table with easy adjustments, just a bit awkward with such a hefty router.

The table saw, sander, and jigsaw table inserts are not directly available in the US. Wish they would make a blank insert so you could build your own.

how did u mount the rail to the back (hinged) side of the mft without the protractor?

+David Hi David, I use the FESTOOL ADDITIONAL CLAMP MFT/3-ZK - 495541. It’s the black clamp that came with the protractor kit. I bought an extra one and just clamp the fence to the back rail. However, it does have some play in it so not a perfect solution. The reason I went down this route was to maximise the cutting width, whilst minimising the overhang at the back of the MFT. I am about to swap these out for some Fence Dogs benchdogs.co.uk/collections/frontpage/products/fence-dogs These fit into the holes on the MFT so guarantee accuracy and they don’t have any play. +David Hi David, sorry just re-read your question. If it’s the rail you are talking about and not the fence, then that doesn’t use the protractor to mount. It has an independent adjustable hinge that fits on the back rail. I have a request, buit not sure if you've already done this as i'm only at the start of your videos - but catching up quickly. Could you spin the over head around so we can view the table from your view point - instead of upside down? Not sure, but you may be able to simply spin the video in post production.
