It would be far better if it had dual capability power input. Then you could use it in the shop with AC and in the field with battery power. Also if this were the case you could have a charging station in place of the storage area to charge the batteries when it is plugged in.

On the internet I saw a furniture restoration shoe from Europe where he used a Festool Belt Sander. When I asked Festool why they were not in the catalog they replied that they were not sold in the USA. Just interested as to why they are not sold in the USA.

Hey guys, I have a question. I have the older, non-bluetooth version of the MIDI, and I have always wanted to get the Y adapter so I could put it in the midi so I could attach my miter box hose and my table saw hose into the two ports on the Y. So I bought the Y, but it is not quite tall enough to clear the top of the MIDI. Is there some kind of a 2" - 3"tall adapter that I could use so the Y would clear the top of the MIDI? Or, if there is no adapter, does anyone know of a way I could make it work? Thanks for your help!

I don't for the life of me know why you wouldn't make it a hybrid!? Its not like the technology or space isn't there.... give it a plug-it cable and an outlet and make everyone happy. My hybrid dewalt miter saw tells me that it's possible. Same goes for the new table saw and ctc sys. Why not give people the flexibility to adapt to any situation and not have to run their batteries into the ground if they dont absolutely have too?

I think the technology is different. Who else has a cordless tool that you can plug in too?

Do you know anything about electronics? As far as I know it's possible and probable. But hey, I only play around with arduinos, my raspberry pi's, build rc cars, and fix my own stuff so who knows.... they can fit everything for cordless into a ct midi and everything to be corded into a ct midi. That alone tells me they could figure it own and maybe even work in a charger. Do you really not own anything you plug in that also has a built in battery?

@@Tazanthro I acknowledged that hybrid tool my question was who else has a line of hybrid tools that you can name? I can't think of any other brand that is doing this. It seems like instead of answering the question you rather went on to rave about your qualifications as an electrical engineer. Since you know so much about electronics and there is such a need for it - as you are implying with "for the life of me" (you are ready to jump off the ledge) - start your own hybrid tool company, i am sure you would make billions and put all these moron companies out of business.
