Can we get the KS120 with the shadow line please? It's due for an upgrade. I want to buy a saw, but these are not quite doing it for me yet. I'm also curious why the KZbinrs with the KS120 take multiple passes to cut through a board. It seems to waste a lot of time compared to a non-sliding 12" saw with a Forrest blade on it.

Woodworkers take multiple passes because it gives a better cut. The blade could deflect with thick hardwood as it gives. It’s just good practice. 12” miter saw blades deflect a good deal and easily. People with festool also respect their tools some times more than people who don’t have what much invested. Just my two cents 🤷🙏

I have the KS60 and I love it. I never thought it was possible to love a machine but here we are.

Thanks for the informative video. Actually, I need one of each but I'll probably start with the 120.

I got my KS120 a long, long time ago. It replaces a small Hitachi SCMS that did a lot of good work for me. When Metabo released a really small 18V portable SCMS I jumped at it and found it was an ideal companion (obviously the KSC60 wasn't on the market around a decade ago). Had the 60 been available back then I would have jumped at it as my primary choices were Festool centric. Recently I've added a 305mm Makita 40V with a massively strong custom stand for work round our rural property, with the KS120 becoming the dedicated workshop machine. Had an adequately powerful cordless full size KAPEX been available I would have given it serious consideration as the Makita is hernia material :(

Is it true 60 only comes in metric at this time? Are either set of wings interchangeable? Any positive stops in bevel for 60? Thanks

Ksc 60 is a sweet machine and love that it is lightweight. Just waiting for the 8.0 amp/ hour battery.

What is the difference between KAPEX KSC 60 EB 5,0 I-UG-SET and 5,2 I-UG-SET?

Corded only. Festool have a price gouge policy and batteries are no exception.

I wish the KSC 60 had a corded version. The 120 is too large for what I do, and I don't need cordless.
@Tigrecito10Ай бұрын
just wonder why the corded version, the ks60 is not available in the US
@HeadBroskiАй бұрын
@ same. After I posted that comment I found out the rest of the world has a corded KS60 except the US. It’s a shame.
@Tigrecito10Ай бұрын
@@HeadBroski on the other hand while the KS60 looks pretty much the same like the new KSC60 (size, and overall features) it is still an much older product - so it doesn´t have a brushless motor for example.. maybe they will bring an update to the ks60 as well which will be available in the US as well ..
@ScadaboyАй бұрын
@@Tigrecito10 my understanding is that AC motors are by nature brushed motors (unless induction motor). Only DC, aka battery, can be brushless.
@Tigrecito10Ай бұрын
@@Scadaboy hmm.. but my TS 60 K (corded!) tracksaw has a brushless motor (the old model did not!) ..

Would love a ks120 but if it's not brushless motor upgrade i will not buy it , because it's such a old technology already the motor has to many issues and it's overdue for an upgrade
