Well thanks to you guys, I've just dropped 2K+ on my 05 Electraglide! My tensioners were shot and I caught it just in time. I got the OE+ 7320 kit with 525 cams and had my local shop (The Shop, Hope Mills, NC) install it. WOW, what a difference! My oil pressure is 15-20 psi higher now and the low end torque is amazing! While I didn't really want to spend that much it was worth it to get the power and reliability that Feuling parts are known for. It was your vids and others recommendations that caused me to go with Feuling parts. This bike will last way beyond me (I'm 61 yrs old) and hopefully I'll be passing it on to one of my sons!

Question...I have a set of 525 reaper cams installed into my factory cam plate on my 01 electra glide....can I use these cams with this cam plate or would I need a different cam due to the cam journal?

I have a follow-on question. Can you tell me if anyone makes stock grind cams (2003 Road King EFI) that can be used with your conversion cam kit (#7088)?

Great video, thanks for posting. I have a question I am hoping you can assist with input. I have a 2003 Road King. I am in the process of upgrading my spring loaded cam chain tensioners (thanks Harley) to hydraulic. Currently, I have Rinehart slip on mufflers, high flow intake, remapped ECM and a Feulpak. If I now install Feuling's 525 (bolt in) conversion cams with cam conversion kit (#7088), do I need to remap the ECM or run a power commander (or other controller) due to the new cams?

I've been working on Harleys for years. And was taught by old school and new school and I was always taught to put the O ring for oil pump in first then oil pump to make sure all is good then cam plate and I've yet to have a problem. Not sure since this was so long ago on this video was made . that fueling used to do it that way. But I've heard and see horror stories from attaching cam plate and oil pump together and then installing. Just food for thought. And yes there's more than one way to skin a cat. At the end of the day there is still right and wrong ways ..🤔🤔🤔🤔

Why would anyone put a chain drive with tentioner set up back in a cam chest? Especially when gear cams are nearly maintenance free.
@octqne4 жыл бұрын
I've always ran chains because they're easy to fix when they break. I was stranded in the middle of the Mojave once with a busted gear drive, i don't want that to happen again

@Krieger are you gonna do your own install?

Runout can prevent a gear cam install as well as $$$$.

Most stock harley cranks don't meet the run out tolerance that gear sets require...

Yeah S&S even provides a cd in their kit of the installation. Please be more thorough.
