Shop made tweezers, brilliant.
@rosemarypaul60932 жыл бұрын
Why not use a pair of long tweezers or an old pair of long nose pliers that, if you dip each tip of the plier into liquid rubber, then let dry, you can pick up any tiny screw or nail without marring it? If you put a seed sized magnet on one of the tips, then dip it into the liquid rubber, let it dry, the small seed magnet will have enough pull to pick up 1 or 2 screws, nails, washers, etc without pulling all of them up. As to that, why hasn't anyone shown how to put a make an opening in a pair of medium weight work gloves near the 1st finger joint, then insert a strip magnet leading down to the 1st knuckle, then trim off the magnet, close the opening. How many times have you misplaced the little screws that you've removed and now need to put back on? If you can put a magnet strip in-between the layers of the top of the glove's hand and sew the pocket up and you'll have a place to keep track of screws you've removed. I've even put a piece of strip tape inside of the gloves forefinger, so when I'm screwing in a screw I won't drop it.

At the 20:15 mark sanding the edge of a board using a block of wood attached to the jigsaw blade is a great idea. You can take it one step further by attaching a piece of dowel to the blade and sand inside curves or holes. Just match the dowel plus sandpaper to the arc of the hole. I like to spray the dowelling with a repositionable adhesive and then press on the sandpaper. This allows you to use the same dowel and quickly change out different grits. I also take my old table saw blades that can't be sharpened anymore, cut the teeth off down to the gullet, smooth and round the outside edge. Cut a paper template of the blade, and use this to cut what ever grit of sandpaper you want and attach it with repositionable adhesive. I'll usually cut two different grits that I want to use and attach one to each side. Place the blade back onto the table saw spindle and you're ready to sand. The great thing about using the tablesaw is in the ability to tilt the blade and sand the same angle you just cut onto a piece of wood.
