You should take a day and go record some of the ponds you made after they've had time to fill up and the landscape around them has grown.

just watching the repositioning of the BH to scrape the pile makes me appreciate the efficiency of the excavator. Sit in one place and do it all from there. Guess I'll have to keep doing it the harder way instead of the smarter way. Enjoyed!

That stumper attachment has an extra use up here in the north. In the winter, it'd be one heck of a frost buster. Good to see that all is well for you after the recent storms.

I get a kick out of our pre emissions backhoes, loud as hell and smells like burnt iron. Really enjoy showing up to jobs and having other crews look at us funny running 1990's jd backhoes while they sit in utter silence with new 2019-2020 CAT's.

its impressive how quiet the new machines are though, had a brand new 2020 cat wheel loader rental on a bridge we did recently, it sounded like a golf cart compared to our old john deere

All we got from that hurricane was a bit of wind and a 15 minute downpour! I'm on the coast in Gloucester, Ma 26 miles from Boston as the gull flies. We could have used the rain, my fish pond pump broke and waiting for a new one to arrive. In the meantime I'm using my 55 gallon rain barrel to drip enough water into the pond to aerate it for the fish. I dug a deep hole in the brook behind my house to be able to scoop buckets of water when I need to supplement the rain barrel. Can't use tap water because the chemicals the city uses will kill the fish. The rain barrel overflow normally flows into the pond when it rains. Great work on that pond project! Best Regards, Jay

One thing I don't have a good understanding of is when you use certain kind of equipment. Also, the only thing that I think you haven't purchased personally for your farm is a skid steer loader. Does the backhoe serve the purpose of a skid steer loader? When would you use the excavator portion of the backhoe instead of the mini?
