Because in the early 80's there were a similar sounding New Wave bands on every corner trying to be the next the Police or Depeche Mode. They would've needed a completely new revolutionary sound and/or master promoter to stand out from the crowd of countless identical New Wave bands. The only reason they have been found now is because of the search for TMMS. Better late than never.

@@IamaCosmonaut That's not true at all. Back then, tapes weren't even listened to. Especially by German new wave bands. You have absolutely no idea about record deals in the 80s.
