Hey Guys! This song is inspired by one of my favorite singers Rev. Gary Davis! The original song this is based on is called “Death Don’t Have No Mercy” and it is a Blues masterpiece. It's funny, because as I heard you singing, I thought to myself, "This would make an awesome Blues song." While your version was slightly different, I believe you nailed the spirit of it. There is something unbelievably raw and pure about old Blues that I've always admired and felt. I hope you continue to produce your songs to share. I've enjoyed every one that gets posted.

I was literally just thinking that. With no instrumentals, you can totally picture this in a movie scene. I immediately started thinking of war movies, the Hunger games, something with sailors, period pieces, or whatever moment the main character has to make a sacrifice or is at a turning point in the story

Honestly, her voice makes my hair stand on end, in a good way. Like, chills. But then at points hits a register that sort of just breaches a point where its too much for me. Again... Thats just me. It's not a criticism, just a personal preference. And its through a phone speaker, so who knows how bad its being distorted.. You can tell there's power in her voice. Its there. And she can wield it. But I absolutely, LOVE how towards the end of this song there's just a hint of warble that sounds more Gaelic than Appalachian. You can hear the Appalachian accent throughout, but that warble in the last verse just feels like a nod to the roots of that accent, and it's beautiful.
