For DLC maybe they travel back to a time the Leviathan eikon existed. Perhaps even an additional mothercrystal - NW Storm is already taken by the blight when you start the game, but maybe then it wouldn't have been and it was the first crystal to fall. If they were really in their bag you could be the new character that wields Leviathan. But Valisthea is a great world so we'd all love to see them expand on the lore in any way

Yeah I think a new character would be really cool. Leviathan is one of my favorites so really any kind of incorporation I’m good with. I trust them to do it well as they’ve shown us so far.

For me, a game making me cry is a requirement to be in my favorite games list. But this game made me cry more than any game has EVER made me cry, and I played XC1 right before and that was also one to make me cry more than most, but FF16 had me bawling. By that metric, and the only specific metric I’ve ever identified, it’s my favorite game of all time. I can’t stop thinking about how sad I am my first play through is done and I can never experience it the same way again

I went in expecting a good story but I wasn’t prepared to get my heart pulled out of my chest lol. I was so invested in every character and there’s not many games I can say that about. Clive one of the 🐐. Totally right about not getting that first feeling back as well.

Never have I played somethings genuinely made me question certain things about my life. Also an older brother lol and also Clive’s whole battle with fate is relatable to a certain extent and the writers made it stand out without being cringe. It’s also really cool that the game itself is super mature lmao these phonies would never understand 🤦‍♂️ they’re too busy waiting on the next blizzard game 🤣

@@kwasit1055 The more mature themes and storytelling were so well done. Plus Clive’s growth as a character from Joshua’s shield to watching him die and face his inner demons to overcoming grief. Like, not only was it hype but in that moment you felt him become what Elwin envisioned and that was touching. Plus his relationship with Jill was not the least hit corny. Also yeah I won’t be playing any blizzard games 😆

This argument has been absolutely done to death and really shows a lack of understand of the series as a whole. Minor differences have been made in each entry, but for the most part, entries maintain much more similarities then they do differences.

i can respect anyone's list on this series but 16 is definitely not the peak as if you were alive in the 90's-2000's then that's when most of us would probably put the peak of the franchise,but as i said i love the series but not ff16 at all.

I’ve been playing since 1 and I can certainly understand why people aren’t keen on it too. I think we’re going to look back on it as a huge turning point in the franchise good or bad will be up to the individual. That said, I don’t know if any will top 7 for me. 6 is very close. I am also hoping they continue with the mature storytelling.

@@SnarfsSoldier17 i was gaming in 87' but did not try ff1 till 1990 but been hooked on the series up until 12,ofcourse i have 13 and 15 but did never finish either game they just collect dust. i did enjoy ff7 remake and am looking forward to rebirth next year.

Easily had the most potential, but ultimately fell the most flat for me. I dont care what system the game uses as long as its done well. This unfortunately feels rushed and shallow. A ps2 action RPG game (KH2) made by the same company shouldnt feel deeper in both action and RPG elements than the ps5 game made in 2023. The huge lack of variety on all facets is baffling too. The recycling and reskinning of enemies is the most egregious ive ever seen in a modern AAA game. They dont even change their mechanics with the reskins. There is zero gameplay variety too. Its just chasing quest markers and fighting the same 10 enemies on repeat with almost zero agency on how you do it. weapons only being stat sticks and ability points becoming moot at mid game because of rerolls is just lazy as shit too. Its just not a very well designed game if im being 100% honest.

I feel you on the weapons point. I hate to compare it to 7r but how they did the magic and physical based weapons was good and I was definitely hoping for more of that but got the damage goes up and looks cool instead. I think the quest markers felt like an mmo and you’re right they could have done something a little different there. Good comment!
