they wont. ffvii is too popular to focus on ffviii and wasn't as popular back in the day. i would absolutely love a remake of ff8. as it was my personal favorite. but i don't think they ever will especially after the shit remaster they made.

@@gm6892 Square Enix did say FF6, 8 and 9 are the ones they want to remake like FF7. It depends on how the final part to FF7 finishes up and how well it sells. The head dev group including Nomura do want to do FF6 next.
