I Know this song from sonic RPG 7 but final fantasy really has kick ass music

I was so fuckin sad when at the end of Final Fantasy X, Auron passed on, having finally accomplished the ubiquitous task that materialized once he reached the end of his journey with Jecht and Braska. 10 has a solid cast, no doubts. But the one character who will always make the game retain a praise worthy position in my conscience, unquestionably, is Auron. It's one thing to have to bear witness to a character you're attached to when it's finally time for them to move on from the world. But it's another thing entirely when the character in question was debatably your most reliable and strongest. There was seldom a battle in the entire game that took place where I didn't have Auron as an active party member (unless I took a break from playing through the story to grind or something). Cloud and Sephiroth may be iconic FF characters/swordsmen to this day, and understandably so. But when I see characters like Auron and how little praise they receive comparatively, it's fuckin criminal.

I won't lie, I kinda wish I had this when I ran Rise of the Runelords. The theme from Syrinscape was good, but this is darker. I also like the poker theme for the Runelord of Greed.

Some songs in Final Fantasy stylistically feel like like they would fit other games. Those who know, know that Edea was planned to be in FF7 very early on. According to a cursory google search, she was written as a Cult Leader for Jenova. This song has a very junon/shinra feel to it, so if i hadn't played FF8, I would've thought this was a song from 7.

This is ranked right up there for eerie atmosphere with the likes of: FF8 lunatic Pandora FF7 city of the ancients FF4 lunar caves initial entry FF6 world of summoned monsters Excellent rendition Enrico! ❤❤

Most underrated Final Fantasy game by far.

I was 9 when I first played FFIX. I was so scared when I reached the Iifa Tree for the first time. This music is the main reason. That and the Zombie tree at the end. But this music is just so perfect. It's so scary and eerie. It really tells us that this place is anything but normal.

I always find it amusing how the tree has affectionally become known as the "Lifa Tree" as opposed to the "Iifa Tree", which I think sounds much more sinister. It took me years to figure this out myself as I just assumed Lifa Tree when I was 7 years old trying to grasp the concept of this story

Man, to think the tree here is just is the roots and the real tree grasps the crystal at the centre of the world stopping souls being filtered and releasing the exccess souls as the Mist. When it was dsicovered that The Mist was just souls that didn't make it, it freaked me out. This music spookily reflects that perfectly.

OMG, I remarked on a diff video about this song saying would love to hear a remaster of it and you actually did it!!! Wow it sounds fantastic. Such an underappreciated song but 9 has so many bangers (and a 110ish long OST) so some are bound to be forgotten. This made my afternoon. 😮😊
