I just wanted to let you know as a recent player of ffxiv this might have been the most helpful guide to a class yet. Every other video about "beginner rotations" is so daunting and unhelpful for new players. At least that's my experience.

Thank you for this guide, the other ones are all for 80. Some people are so stupid though, by the time we at 80 we will know wtf to do.... It's all about when you unlock it at high level; thats when you need a guide.

Thank you for breaking it down, only thing I'm not happy with this job is that even if I proc I rarely get any feathers... though I'm still 60 trying this class out. What I do like is that it plays a little similar to Samurai, my main.

OH MY GOD THIS CLEARED EVERYTHING UP SO QUICKLY. WATCHED LIKE 3 "BEGINNER" GUIDES AND THEY HIT ME WITH ABUNCH OF TERMS I DIDNT EVEN KNOW. this is so much easier to understand. do your one two, when the thing flash do the thing, when the green up hit the green and then do the super spinny for the mega spinny so that the green spinny can get even more spinny. see the top, be the top. also steppe up. dont forget to step up two.

Hello I just wanted to say that I just started dancer yesterday. And I really enjoy the job. And I was trying to find a guide that was specific about how to select the dance partner. I didn't know whether or not it was automatic. It was based on AOE, but thank you for explaining that clearly. Because no one else has.

First time FF14 player here, saw the dancer class available at lvl 60. Changed to the dancer job, then BOOM. My hotbars changed quick fast. Thank goodness for your straightforward guide. The best in a sea of FF14 dancer beginner guides.

I got into the game about 3 weeks or so ago - After having played WoW for 16 years and maining DH for 4-5 years now, I was looking for something mobile and flashy, at first I went with Lancer/Dragoon, liked it well enough, the GCD waiting & just overall "slow feel" turned me off a bit. I heard about Dancer and I needed to try this! A class that dances? Awesome! I hit 60 today and decided to give it a go - watched 3 videos and read multiple posts and all said "Its super easy to play just press buttons." And while true to a degree - Your video made the entire rotation clear to me and now I can give it a proper go without just button mashing! Loved the short and straightforward approach, liked and subbed!

I watch a ton of FFXIV guides. Don’t get me wrong, I love and often refer to other job guides (WeskAlber, Desperius, etc.), but yours was the first guide that made dancer make sense. It was very helpful to have the skills & abilities window open and see which ones actually go together. With procs feeling a nebulous thing based on chance, it can be difficult to correlate what goes together or how to use it, especially with multiple proc related abilities. Looking forward to more content!

The way that you explained this is great ! The fact that dancer is simpler than what one assumes it is at lvl 60 made me go 😳 lmaooo. The attack system is sort of like red mage's 50% chance of aero and thunder turning into stone and fire (although dancer gets an improved aoe attack with 50% chance) alongside a simple cure spell; mix that system with astrologian's buffing for attacks and a simple damage reducer and you better understand dancer.

Btw, when using standard step/finish do you wait until the timer for the buff runs out and cast standard step again or use it once it is available to push some heavy dps? I find this class so fun, but my RNG is notoriously bad, so my dps suffers. Wish it would be crit % instead of 50%, because it is more like 10% for me. GRRR!
