the iconic laugh of kefka always there and never be forget

The entire experience of going through the entire Pixel Remaster collection in order from 1-6 culminates into one of the most epic final boss battles in JRPG history. Will remain ingrained in my subconscious until my mortal flame is extinguished.

I just wish Kefka as a Final Boss was more challenging, the atmosphere is amazing but after Neo Exdeath and especially Zeromus in term of challenge Kefka was a massive disappointment for me.
@nerussoulfire6021 Жыл бұрын
@@nesoukkefka1741 I experienced the same after replaying it with the Pixel Remaster, sadly its part of design they decided to go with in FF6, since you can challenge Kefka at any point when you reach his tower. x) There are videos of people facing him immediatly after given the option and ending the game without going for any content on the later map
@nesoukkefka1741 Жыл бұрын
@@nerussoulfire6021 Honnestly it's bad design for me, Kefka should be the most challenging fight of the game, a mod called Brave New World kinda fix this issue by simply making a key item require to go to the Tower, prevent both getting OP stuff in the tower, and allow to make sure have to go through some of the other content before the tower, which allow to balance Kefka for a more well prepare team.
@Dfeneck7 ай бұрын
@@nesoukkefka1741 I do agree with you, Kefka wasn't as challenging as I hoped, the design plays a large part in it for sure, but I think something that people also overlook is that if you play them all through, 1 to 6, by the time you're at 6, you're very good at the game, and you've probably gone in very prepared.
@nesoukkefka17417 ай бұрын
@@Dfeneck I think for sure having experience in the franchise or other JRPG in general helps a lot, still I think VI is overall a very easy game, it was in fact the first one I've played of the 6 first and I still think it's overall the second easiest behind FFII.

Heed the first movement, remember the destruction of the world. Now, behold the destruction of life, dreams, hope; it is the fate of all things. Heed the second movement, and stand in awe. Now, behold your former vain attempts at stopping the inevitable. Heed the third movement, this is the power you oppose. Now, behold your Savior and God; there is no salvation, prayers fall on deaf ears. Heed the fourth movement, the skies are tearing apart. Now, behold the Wild Dance of a Mysterious Star.

What if I told you... Dancing Mad is my favourite and most played song of all time, thank you Mr Uematsu. 🥺 I love this version!
@CD-vb9fi Жыл бұрын
I consider Dancing Mad to be Mr. Uematsu's Grand Opus. I have enjoyed this song for decades now as well. It has all the chaos that represents Kefka well and it has all the gravitas that one would like to hear and feel in the setting the game is providing. You are fighting a mad Jester that thinks he is a god after stealing/manipulating the powers of 3 goddesses in a shattered/broken world where despair and madness is everywhere. Kefka is truly a one of a kind villain and is one of the elements that truly made 6 so great!

Wait a minute...you did all this with Celes, Setzer The Imp, and Edgar The Kappa King??? (And, perhaps, Mash, if that's his muscle hidden beneath that green fishy surface) The music is wonderful, sure, but I genuinely feel like that would be extremely difficult to achieve!!
@monofocal72542 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. The avoidance rate of Celes is around 120 for both, so it's easy. As soon as I fought normally, I knocked it down and the music became shorter, so I chose Kappa.
Why do this fight with 3 party members as kappas ?

The best villain, the best theme; FF6 was/is really something special. Suck it Sephiroth lol
The music transitions were too abrupt in the pixel remaster.
@UltramoooАй бұрын
No it's not, you're just used with the internal reverb each time a sequence audio stops playing. It's also abrupt on the SNES but the SPU has no ability to cut the reverb decay internally without straining the CPU.

My dream play this game with better graphics without changing anything on the gameplay , that will never happen they will make it a hack and slash
There's one reoccurring note that, with the instrument that plays it in this remaster, sounds annoyingly similar to a brief bout of tinnitus. I don't recall there being such a note annoyance in the original SNES version (which I had just listened through moments prior to this one).

The melody is too washed out by the orchestration, the organ doesn't pop out, it gets lost in the sea of generic sounding instruments. It could have been great. Sadly, the original is better.
@matthagen672 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I gotta agree. They did SUCH a great job with so many other songs (Searching for Friends especially), not just in FFVI-PR but earlier games, too. With "Dancing Mad", they did barely anything new. No alterations, no added stuff, no "let's go crazy here" moments... I'm almost certain the reason for that is they didn't have enough time and couldn't meet a deadline (game's release date). It's obvious, ESPECIALLY when you look at other arrangements they made.

@Oliver's 50th Account I think music-wise they did a really great job with majority of the tracks. But the game itself.. sooo many bugs
