Ahoy my friends! I have finally cleared the EX2 Ifrit & Bahamut fight and am bringing you guys a guide today a team at 231KCP! I'm bringing in Cloud/Barret/Tifa into this fight, and have fought it about 70x in order to really nail it down and win. I will be fully walking you through the fight, going into great depth before the video, and during it, where I explain all the ins and outs of this particular fight, and how you can go about it. WEAPONS THAT ARE NECESSARY! Good fight, Only thing I would change is to add cura on tifas 3rd materia slot to heal faster the user getting hit by divebomb.

Ah that is a good addition! Thanks mate! I did use Cloud there to ST heal, but yeah that would have allowed another C. Ability against Bahamut

Ifrit’s Ignition phase is a pain but i love this strategy! I didnt even think to wait to attack until after the first two heatwaves 😅

GG! I am currently working on clearing these EX stages. I have my team as Cloud(healer/Mdef buffer), Tifa(Cowgirl non-elemDPS), and Seph(Ice-DPS). I am thinking about switching out either Tifa or Seph for Barrett so I can use Agitation. I was FINALLY able to beat the Behemoth in the tower with Yuffie as my wind DPS! Having Arctic Star was a HUGE help, but I was also literally milliseconds away from getting hit with his last bodyslam! I did not think Yuffie was going to be able to get her attack out fast enough and the timer bar looked like it was full, I was so excited! And the funniest part of this was I was only using her Diner Tray at 5star, went to use 10 of my gold tickets and wouldn't you know it I got a copy of DT lol. Would've boosted my damage from 480% to 580%.

Dude congrats!!! Lets fuckin go!! Haha and ya would get that much needed dupe right after haha. Barret def makes it easier but the dps check will be harder. Maybe just run Torn Wing on Seph and keep Tifa with guide/tiger fangs Will have to be prepared for sigil breaks but it is possible

@@BodhiJMSRyder I'm just getting used to the timing for the sigil break phase. I usually get through it no prob, but I always die when Ifrit does his gauge phase. I do enough damage to get it down, but I always get caught up doing damage and healing to keep that bar down. I always die there since it hits me for 13k.

Yeah the sigil phases are also a lot easier if you use Tifa's Somersault right before them to acquire extra ATB. As for Ifrit's Ignition Phase, the only thing i can recommend is the strategy I used in this video. Tank the first two, completely focusing on Healing/MDEF up and the moment the second Heatwave drops, full blown Ice DPS straight into LB's/Summons. However, since you're using Cloud as Healer/MDEF Buffer, that is what is hard, because the ATB management healing + buffing those 2 heatwaves is more ATB than what you're getting there. @@BodhiJMSRyder I collected every single gem available from the game, from the chocobo missions to all the dungeons, extra story history etc, the only thing I'm missing is the gallonbaloir arcana but because if you remember I only wrote to you about the video you made which I didn't have weapons aoe phy def, yes I know, I'm a serial farmer, and considering that I've been playing for just over 4 months I've done everything, unlike many day one players I know😂

Oh my god. I did it. F2P And what an ENDING! Bio been ticking down ifrit most of the fight, get him down to like a needle point of health and he goes into sigil phase. Bio kills him, free interrupt phase, finish off Bahamut. OH MY GOD that was satisfying

I finally took the Crimson Flare down by playing a Magic Ice DPS Cloud with a Sub Ice DPS and Sub Heal + Debuff Aerith and a Heal + Sigil Matt. The battle was epic as Matt and Aerith went down in the last phase, Cloud stood against the duo alone, fighting for his friends and with a final Blizzaga A, Bahamut went down ! It felt really good, but it doesn't hit the same as my first time beating Bahamut EX2 haha. Sometimes, they would skip the sigil phases as well, and they get unsynchronized with their attacks, for example, Bahamut would prepare his divebomb before Ifrit even do his Crimson Dive, which is impossible to handle. Maybe it's due to using LBs to cancel their initial animations but I'm not sure

I haven't tried the fight yet. But I only have Cloud's Stream Saber at ob1. Based on what you said in the video, it may not be possible to clear it. I thought that maybe Sephiroth might be able to do it, but then I don't have a party MDEF buff. Of course, I do have much higher defense stats since I'm attempting this much later than what was available when this video was posted. Or, alternatively, might a party of Aerith (Bahamut Rod for PDEF all) and Red (for MDEF all), along with Sephiroth work in your opinion? I know it's lacking in the limit break similarities, but I thought I might ask at least.

It would work but you would need to somehow configure in MATK down, probably through use of Kuja's Spirit Blade on Sephiroth. Since levels are so much higher, i think you can definitely clear this if you have Edged Wings pretty strong for Seph. You don't have any MDEF all weapons? Are you in a guild?

@@BodhiJMSRyder okay. I do have weapons with MDEF all, but I think only my Matt and Cloud have it on high. I thought about replacing Tifa with Matt to include that MDEF all buff, but then I would still need to heal, which means the other weapon would need the heal ability, meaning that I couldn't employ his Bahamut Rapier to make it comparable to your Tifa build. My other characters with MDEF all are only a mid level buff, for which I believe Red was using during the ex1 fight, for which I followed your helpful build there too. I do have my Sephiroth's Edged Wings at ob10, and I think his Kuja blade is ob3. I think that was the build I employed for the ex1 fight. And yes, I'm in a guild.
