Level 120 max OB edged wings gives 46 MATK and that’s insane. That’s lvl 9 MATK boost from a single weapon, letting him go for more HP/DEF sub-weapons or crit boost/atk up/potency up

yea I left mine at lvl 90 for all weapons to do this fight but higher lvl weapon of course makes it much easier

I believe everything is still lvl 7 for the matk and patk. Elements are 10

This works for ex1 but ex2 is a different beast. You cant focus on just one of them at a time lol. I recommend you just switch back and forth and get used to taking both their HP down . Mainly bcus EX2 they will one shot you if you kill one before the other

I focus on ifrit only, why, bucuz bahamut don’t atk you in bar phase. Mind you, bahamut does do damage, but if his hp is high, he will do a weak magic atk & not the dive bomb. I think the same set up for ex2 bahamut will work,but with an ice build toon.

I DONE IT! Couldnt get Bahamut to Target Aeirth so i took her saving grace x2 & Kuja blade was enough to take Divebomb to the face and survive with cloud. Also didnt get hit with a MEGA Flare, i took x2 summons and wiped both their bars with Ramuh and Shiva.

Kuja blade is not a big deal to be honest, you basically use it for 1 stat and one enemy. Don't see why ppl be mad about it.

@@xusco3 in this case since you only want it for the matk down and one enemy Tifa, Barret and Matt can do it and if you have their weapon on OB6 is even better since is hight potency.

So it comes down to Bandaged Sword again, even with attack debuff on Bahamut and Aeriths Mythril Rod defense buffs it's not enough to survive.

I use Matt with core defender OB 6, which gives MDEF +3 and it's easy peasy. You need an aoe mid tier minimum for sure.

If you keep Shiva for a second longer she'll take out both enemy bars at the same time and you won't see the megaflare.

Nah I've done it. She doesn't do enough dmg after he does his umbral flare. Those debuffs last too long

You're right, I misremembered it. Shiva did about 66% of the bar and I cleaned it up with one attack from Tifa's ice gloves. Easily worth the re-target though if you can clear it that easily and avoid seeing megaflare at all.

I think I'm going to try this fight with Yuffie, Cloud, and Tifa. I'll make Cloud my healer/Mdef buffer, Yuffie will be Patk buffer with sub-ice dps, and then Cowgirl Tifa with Matk debuff for Bahamut. If Yuffie could get some kind of P/Matk debuffing weapon I would use her a lot more but she is hard to fit on teams at times. Edit: So I didn't realize you don't get cyrstals for clearing these fights. I'm honestly not going to bother doing these fights. The damage is garbage and the fire element buff only lasts 10 secs. I feel like this dual summon is worthless.

I still cannot beat it and feel stupid lol I have similar set up as payne. Will need to chill out and see what I am doing wrong. I am not able to deplete the bar from ifrit and he kills me. Maybe I am missing something but my initial thoughts are the same as you, while I wanna beat it I feel the fully maxed out summon is not great because the buff is not long. I think for most content we are still ok with regular ifrit in one character trying to max out fire potency. It’s a nice to have but don’t see it as necessary.

It's honestly not that bad if you take the time to learn the patterns. I already beat EX2 using mostly farmed event gears. Obviously who tou still need a really strong ice dmg, I used my ice tifa.. having aerith mythril rod ob6 or higher feels like a must have for me if you don't own kujas blade like me. Just run double healer like me

Something that needs to be noted @Payneblade...You can delay the Harness and Crimson Dive by letting the Megaflare count down tick. If you are not worried about megaflare then I highly suggest pushing Ifrit down as far as possible and actually taking the first megaflare to the face....

this makes it so much easier when grinding for memories, i let him count down to megaflare 2, and just go after ifrit, by the time ifrit starts his gauge, summons are ready to blast em both and kill ifrit
