I used Aerith with Terra's Rod to lower Ice Resistance, and healing, Cloud and Tifa to Ice Dps, with one esuna silence that i glimpsed needed after 1st try. I was surprised that it wasn't as hard as i thought. Cloud Bahamut Greatsword helped a lot on the adds phase. You do way more dmg than me, i went thru a bit more phases

used angeal with provoke and veil weapons, got great aerith and cloud to carry me

Shit. Crash bent me over a barrel. Looks like you need angeal built up pretty good with the limit break weapon for it.

I think you’ll be fine without his limit break weapon. Seen quite a few people do it without it. His free outfits are probably better for this too. He has really good physical and magic defense weapons that I’d use over his limit break weapon. And the physical defense one(type 90 long sword) has provoke.
