Technically this is one adaptation of one edition of loveless, of SOME of loveless. He was specifically obsessed with a specific book of it, because he projected his life into it and also the lost portion. It's pretty clearly spelled out in crisis core, that it's a weird fandom and he's obsessed with the lost portion and being weirdly interpretational and religious about it. The subtle differences between all the girls going in for the "kiss" are great. 6:06 Cloud pulls Tifa into the twirl and she looks a little surprised, but then looks like she's longing for the kiss. 8:25 Aerith seems to be leading the twirl and looks like she's simply expecting the kiss to follow. 10:44 Yuffie goes for the infinite twirl that makes her swoon and then panics when she realizes that it's the kiss scene, but goes for it anyway.

If you pay attention to all the romance scenes with cloud/tifa and cloud/aerith you will notice that in the aerith scenes she is almost always the one initiating the contact or the affection, whereas with Tifa its both of them initiating it at different times. Tifa takes his hand a couple times but Cloud starts the hug and kiss in the gondola. Aerith is always kind of pushing him into romantic situations and he just kinda goes with it.

honestly I love how all of this is just foreshadowing of whats to come, with specific words used as well. I remember sitting seeing an option for "Future with Rosa" and I was thinking "Oh this is gonna be that its gonna end tragically isn't it" Boom tearful Farewell. And then Varvados at the end: "What awaits you at JOURNE'YS END (No promises left at the Journey's end) will the Goddess grant you Her blessing (Aerith, might actually refer to Minerva)? Or will the flames of vengeance consume you? Aerith and Cloud story mirrors loveless plus is the name of the street they meet, Rosa uses a staff just like Aerith and hugs the Alph in the same way Cloud and Aerith hug in their last date (the scenes look nearly identical minus the location) and the whole theme of meeting again with no promises. This was clearly made with Aerith in mind, but I wonder if this whole loveless thing is the result of CC influence or if it was a thing back in the og.

Nah for real, some other things to note is that the princess is literally using Aerith's attacks like judgement ray and powering up his sword like what happened with Bahamut in AC. Cloud and Aerith get their kiss interupted by the demon like Seph doing you know... There's other hints with the goddess being Aerith because when Cloud asks Tifa how she found him, she said she got help from the goddess while Aerith said she heard Cloud's pleas/cries. Lastly, Aerith's is the only one that mentions true love saving the day, while with Tifa, it's about Cloud being a hero saving everyone.

WHY can't we unlock barrets costume? they let you have red and cait siths loveless costumes why not barrets dragonking outfit??? I feel like I'm the only person that's perplexed about this! Btw developers already confirmed no future dlc for this game so its not gonna be available as an add on later either.

The moment I saw “Rosa” with a staff, I knew the role fit Aerith the most. But the story also feels like it parallels Cloud and Aerith’s story in Rebirth. But this is a game with shipping in mind, of course there will be three alternative versions of this

The name of that cobblestone street is called "Loveless St." There are no coincidences. It's all intentional. Tifa, btw, was a toss-in, and not an original character of ff7. Aerith has always been Cloud's number one. Tifa number two, if even that, as it never went beyond friendship, not even in AC.

The play fits perfectly into Cloud and Aerith's narrative, the song also talks about reunion and mentions the place where they met for the first time, on Loveless Street, the same name as the play. But my favorite scene was Yuffie, nothing beats it! She is very exaggerated.

And it is true. In the Lifestream, it is Tifa's love for him and him for her, and she sticking by his side is what got him his self back. And Aerith's love for her friends and people is what saved them from meteor. Sephiroth doesn't care about anyone which led to him not conquering it all.

That's not true. If you choose Barret, Red XIII or the 3 other guys, you DON'T get to be in the play. Which means that you only get to see Aerith singing because that's canonical no matter who you choose to date, lmao

Okay, so both Tifa and Yuffie shares the same type of dialogue at the end. Where they talked about the victory and Alphreid is a hero. Whereas Aerith's dialogue is unique, about how it was love that conquers all. Interesting. And also how three of them act with Cloud in the 3rd choice. Tifa being slow, Yuffie acted a little bit too much, and Aerith just being in sync with Cloud.

Aerith and cloud flow so well together cloud was clumsy with the other girls. Notice how tifa and yuffie call cloud a true hero playing into his soldier persona. But aerith says true love conquers all. The devs really knew what they were doing when they made this.

@kyranina if you prefer that one that's fine, but when all relationships are maxed aerith is the default choice given( someone on twitter tested it out) she also fits the role the most(rosa is a mage), evens Rosa fighting stance is literally aeriths at the end of the game. She's also the only one shown in the end credits the devs also specificallymentioned cloud and aeriths date when talking about loveless and the importance of the play, also her love song which she sang to cloud ties into loveless, not to mention cloud and aerith have a lot of ties to loveless. Not just their story but they even met on loveless street.
