Technically this is one adaptation of one edition of loveless, of SOME of loveless. He was specifically obsessed with a specific book of it, because he projected his life into it and also the lost portion. It's pretty clearly spelled out in crisis core, that it's a weird fandom and he's obsessed with the lost portion and being weirdly interpretational and religious about it. What with the while wings thing.

The subtle differences between all the girls going in for the "kiss" are great. 6:06 Cloud pulls Tifa into the twirl and she looks a little surprised, but then looks like she's longing for the kiss. 8:25 Aerith seems to be leading the twirl and looks like she's simply expecting the kiss to follow. 10:44 Yuffie goes for the infinite twirl that makes her swoon and then panics when she realizes that it's the kiss scene, but goes for it anyway.

If you pay attention to all the romance scenes with cloud/tifa and cloud/aerith you will notice that in the aerith scenes she is almost always the one initiating the contact or the affection, whereas with Tifa its both of them initiating it at different times. Tifa takes his hand a couple times but Cloud starts the hug and kiss in the gondola. Aerith is always kind of pushing him into romantic situations and he just kinda goes with it.

Okay, so both Tifa and Yuffie shares the same type of dialogue at the end. Where they talked about the victory and Alphreid is a hero. Whereas Aerith's dialogue is unique, about how it was love that conquers all. Interesting. And also how three of them act with Cloud in the 3rd choice. Tifa being slow, Yuffie acted a little bit too much, and Aerith just being in sync with Cloud.

The play fits perfectly into Cloud and Aerith's narrative, the song also talks about reunion and mentions the place where they met for the first time, on Loveless Street, the same name as the play. But my favorite scene was Yuffie, nothing beats it! She is very exaggerated.

I believe the reason they changed the plot is because the final act was never found (Genesis wrote one at the end of Crisis Core, but nobody knows that), so the Saucer changed the storyline to make it more suitable for a play.

The name of that cobblestone street is called "Loveless St." There are no coincidences. It's all intentional. Tifa, btw, was a toss-in, and not an original character of ff7. Aerith has always been Cloud's number one. Tifa number two, if even that, as it never went beyond friendship, not even in AC.

Jesse's part and Aerith singing is something everyone saw, the in between of the play was different for each person, I'm pretty when they're exiting the theatre Yuffie mentions something about her play and it's different than what we saw, which was Cloud's perspective.

The entire section makes no sense. The only way it would make sense was if the party were chosen to perform the play like in FF7, and VR goggles show special effects and Jessie's opening film. But this is shown to be impossible because Cloud is still in his seat. If everyone sees a different play, how does Cloud's play know to show him Barret and Red XIII? The combat sim is the closest technology and that doesn't read minds, it has to be told "show the party a wolf". If it's all VR, why would there be a VR section of the audience in their seats, while they're physically in their seats? Cloud is also the only one in the audience with a romantic connection to Aerith. Imagine if everyone sees Aerith perform while they stand off stage and Aerith keeps giving them doe eyes and glances.
