+Hadry If you compare it that way, then no, it's "Helloween - I can" (which is pretty much the same music in a slower tempo and a killer solo) or "The Offspring - All I want" (for a punk rock twist). Why compare it and not enjoy it for what it is? I mean, apples have seeds and oranges have seeds, thus apples are oranges? Each of those bands has their masterpieces, their own unique sound and to my opinion it's great that we get to choose or have it all. Stay heavy friend!

Didn't the guitarist of James previous band Leather Charm write the riffs and James as a vocalist just the lyrics?? so that they "both" had credit for the song but James just took it as entirely his own? So by putting new lyrics on top of it Mustaine is doing just the same as those assholes did. He didnt lie, Metallica always lied. He wrote the main songs of those 4 songs on KEA and his name came last in songwriting order. Hit the lights was written by Hugh Tunner , while Sanitarium was written by a band Bleak house. Metallica loved to steal, sad but true. In Metallica 30th anniversary show, before starting Jump in the fire , Lars said "this is the first song Dave brought to when he came to Metallica" . Kirk admitted Dave wrote part of Leper messiah but he also said its not long enough to be counted in song writing credit. I honestly believe that there are more songs that Dave contributed to in Metallica but did not receive writing credit for. For all of the following: Mechanix Metal Militia Jump in the Fire Phantom Lord Ride the Lightening Call of the Ktulu There are songs like Leper Messiah and Motorbreath that make you wonder. With that being said, there are a lot of arguments on here that James wrote this song with Hugh. That it's been "verified" hundreds of times over. Verified by who exactly? And if Dave truly did steal it, why didn't Metallica sue him? They sure as fuck sue everyone else. Napster and even their own fans in fact. Maybe it's because they didn't want to open a can of worms? In other words, they were probably lucky that Dave ONLY got credit for 6 tracks and didn't want to reopen that door. Keep in mind that Cryptic Writings is a platinum album. The Royalties for FFF aren't exactly chicken scratch.

@wfcsports The only song he wrote entirely on his own when he was with Metallica was The Mechanix, which they later changed the lyrics, added a solo, and slowed down the song and called it The Four Horseman. He wrote other parts of 3 other songs,so thats 4 songs in total not all the songs, and motorbreath wasn't one of them. James Hetfield wrote Motorbreath entirely on his own so Dave stole this riff.

I AM GOING TO SET IT STRAIGHT. Hugh tanner and james Hetfield wrote Motorbreath but James took all the credit when Kill 'em all came out. Dave never wrote Mechanix/Jump in the Fire by himself, he wrote it with the people from Panic, but took all the credit for mechanix on Killing is My Buisness. As for the other Kill 'Em All songs Dave wrote them with Tallica. yes even phantom lord, Jump in The Fire, etc.
