FFIX Ozma Battle #9: No actions. No characters did any actions. Everything was Ozma's attacks, passive abilities and status effects. 2 characters with return magic with doomsday deals significant damage. Eiko is in the party for automatic rebirth flame, which has roughly a 40% of activating.

With 99 phoenix pinions, there's around a 40% (a little less) chance for rebirth flame to activate upon your party dying, which is the maximum. It's pretty lucky to have it activate more than once.

It's a cheap trick, really XD The chances of it happening can be boosted by the number of pheonix pinions in your inventory, and you need the skill Guardian Mog equipped, but still, the chances of getting it twice in one battle are slim.

I had it activate twice during this fight once. Still lost. This is one of the few fights where seeing it is even likely, outside trying to kill Yan (the friendly monster that nukes your party if you anger him). So I guess it's not that improbable that some would never see it.

@@s-wo8781 how many people regularly have a party wipe with Eiko in-party and enough phoenix pinions that the chance isn't 1%? Might be a personal thing, but once I get Eiko and Phoenix, there's like two boss fights in the game that have ever killed my party and this is one of them, which I attribute to Auto-Regen, gods gift to a game that tried to nerf healing to the ground. I accept that it might be survivor's bias.

this is gonna sound like bullshit but I equipped the Hawaiian items, Sandals, Straw Hats, etc on all 4 and went to joke fight Ozma (no friendly quest) and since I was in my 20-30lvls she'd OHKO me every time she attacked, but Rebirth Flame connected 5 times in a row. At first I thought I must be really lucky considering I only had 70 Pinions, but 5 in a row....fucking 5 in a row? Now I have to research are the Aloha shitgear maybe important

Its actually simple you need have abi that nullify Doomsday dmg i sadly forgot its name you have ff forever site for help.Then you need 99 phoenix pinions and 2x return magic abis and ofc Phoenix summon
