At the beginning of the scam, the scammer convinces the victim to download a program, one that gives the scammer control of the victim’s computer. Rinoa doesn’t always show this part. Then the scammer runs a program on the victim’s computer. This program makes it look like the victim has received money. But like I said, there is no money. Just fake numbers on a fake screen. One more thing. The money the scammer wants “returned” is money that was already there in the victim’s bank account. It’s not money the scammer deposited. Remember, the scammer actually deposited no money.

I caught the last minute, then looped back to watch the first 18. It never ceases to amaze me how lazy and entitled these bastiches are. Different scambaiters have different tactics and different goals, but if they suspect that they're being baited, lazy scammers ask the baiter if they're Kitboga, Jim Browning or that other one with millions of subs. Why would anyone say yes? Maybe they need to change their scams up, or maybe hundreds of scam call centres shouldn't use the same lame decade-old script. Keep up the good work. You have more patience than I do for these pond lifers.

I've just had a scamming atempt done to me, someone who was a professional hiperbaric welder repairing yachts in Monaco. Our interaction went on for 2 weeks. He tried everything, invited me to join him in Monaco, promised to buy me an apartment in Lisbon where I'm from. On Valentines he said he was dying to come to me, bla bla bla. As soon as he asked me for a big sum of money, i introduced myself as a FBI investigator. I'm still laughing about it. 😂
