Cid Highwind, 32, the man, the pilot, the mechanic, the legend... It's so weird to cause he's actually one of the least recommended characters to have in your team but I felt he was a really strong character, you got him really late but I clung to him really fast.

This is amazing :D A couple critiques for you: If you want to keep the trumpet solo (it sounds good btw), consider lowering the dynamics of everything else so it can be heard more easily. The low strings and percussion are the same volume through the whole thing. Panning may be useful here as well. High strings on the far and middle left, winds in the middle, low strings/low brass on the right, and percussion in the back, with various degrees of reverb and attack to recreate where they would sit in the concert hall :) It sounds great when everything gets quieter and the choir comes in! Take the harp down a touch and the melody up (and to the left a bit) and it'll sound great! Good work overall here!

sschafi1 I do agree, but I believe the trumpet should be a bit louder instead of softer. Cid’s theme is a march so it should have a sense of intensity. I don’t think it should be loud the entire time, but it is meant to be sort of a very structured and intense piece that instills a sense of discipline and awe.

Thanks a lot, that's perfect. I think this theme is one of the best character theme ever made in a Final Fantasy, it's so fresh and at the same time it looks so far of us.. There is a real story behind, and every time I listen to this song I want to live through that fantastic character. Kinda saddens me that games are beginning to cut out the story in their games because no one will play them (Star Wars Battlefront on next gen is an example) but the best games to your generation were these single player games because they had outstanding storylines, what saddens me is my kids may not like these beautiful classic games, but instead favor Call Of Duty Black Ops 7 or something

I'm really disappointed Rebirth kinda neutered Cid, but I _do_ understand why they had to do it as the game would be rated Mature otherwise. My party in the OG was always Cid, Yuffie and Cait Sith because I'm a contrarian that loved all the losers. So I really cannot wait until the third game in the Re-Trilogy spends _all_ the time in the world on my boy Cid. Though I do still kinda find it odd they make him out as the third main character after Cloud and Tifa on the 2nd Disc when he's literally the last guy you pick up. Still, #*(&@ SHERA! Final Fantasy VII was my first game I've ever played on PlayStation One... And I was soooooooooo happy with this game. Even it has three (!!!) disc in it....! Three! Because of the beautiful cutsences? Or because of the music? Btw... Great stuff here!

FMV cutscenes was the reason for three discs. The whole game is actually on all 3 discs. But they couldn't have the whole game plus FMVs on one disc so we got three instead

Seeing Kefka bring the world of balance to ruin is going to own everything FF7 has ever done.Not that I don't like 7. So it's not set in stone, obviously, like the FF7 remake is, but it'd be pretty hard to get out of not giving FF6 the same treatment.
