FFXI - Which REMA is Easiest to Make?

It's gratifying to hear you explain how difficult a Mythic is. I'm very proud of my Nirvana, but it took me pretty much my entire post-CoP career to make. Many people make them faster, but when they were first announced, I was sure I'd never be able to complete one. I was lucky to find an amazing linkshell during ToAU (Immortality forever!), but I still had to farm plenty of Nyzul and all the Alex.

Thank you for this video. I'm kind of sad about Aeonics being "out of reach" considering there are not many doing that content. I wish there was an alternative path. Oh well, I guess I can try to get that Zantetsuken X for my RUN :P

Ambuscade weapons are the easiest. Ultimate weapons usually include those also depending on the class. REMAA now. Also some of the Sup5 weapons are very strong.

Ambuscade weapons aren't REMA. REMA weapons are "effectively" ilevel 121 Ambuscade weapons are ilevel 119. That said a few like Tauret are neck and neck with their REMA counterparts, if they ever allow reinforcement for Tauret, Shining One, Naegling, Lycurgos or Doilchenus they would become BIS.

@@atomicskull6405 The polearm if you always have the Crit bonus roll from Cor it's the best polearm in the game. I also can't think of a better Katana. The TP gain not even trying to build Dual Weild is insane.

I was casually doing my Empy GS and I'm almost done collecting 75 hearts...then I looked ahead at the next trial....holy fuck....1500 heavy metals....at 40k each... EDIT: Ive made Apocalypse, Ragnarok, Gutler, Aymur. The easiest was definitely the relics. The currency is cheap and the magian trials aren't that bad. The worse one so far has been (in order) Aymur (Mythic) , Caladbog(Empy), Farsha (Empy)

@@TheFitDragon both. spell temper 2 give triple attack. so dont need gear with triple attack. dps in tank gear and nuke your own weapon skills. also enspell enchantment does so much damage. it's almost faster to just stand there and auto attack in some situations.

If you dont have gils, then Empyreans are by far the longest to make outside of ergons starting from 0. Farming 1500 hmp and 60 riftdross/riftcinders would take ages solo, unless you have been storing 2000+ entries to voidwatch. If you have gils, then you can buy not only su5, but also Aeonics from mercing groups. Also keep in mind Aeonics are useable instantly. Relics, empy and mythics (beside some pet weapons) require to be afterglowed, which usually require another 50-70m investment and su5 require getting rank25 augment, which require like 75-100m or having a good dynamis group. So overall Aeonics are the cheapest to get (maybe on par with relics) On the other hand the true question should be "Which rema you need/want?" because relic being easiest to make wont realy make any difference if you play for example cor, dnc or pup. In general many jobs has some one rema really beating alternativea, like SMN or WHM where mythic is their utlimate priority among rema, while other jobs like BRD needa all rema, because it can benefit from all of them at the same time.

The Ninja Ambuscade weapon is OP. With a DW+ build you can get a +100 TP per tick at all times. It makes the other REMA for NIN pretty poop.

But is it better than just rocking Tauret/Kaja on NIN? Because Tauret has a stupidly high + critical hit rate (+50% at 0 TP to +0% at 3000TP) and Evisceration becomes ridiculously strong with it (i.e. 10-20k WS on non trash mobs)

@@atomicskull6405 yeah same with sword also. I have no issues with acc even on APEX with sword on ninja. 30k savage blades with a C weapon. It's kinda dumb. Things need reworked. Every class should be best with their A tier weapon.

Of note; R15 REMA, in general, are all about the same strength. Relics get a lot more out of R15 than Aeonics, for example. So it generally evens the playing field.

Not really. Most relic at r15 are still much weaker in term of damage than some r15 alternatives. Some are close enough tho that their added utility make them competitive when you need that utility.

@@SageAtoreis Not really. Sure, in terms of raw damage, aeonic will usually outclass most non mythics, but good luck using aeonic gun over relic gun in any realistic scenario as a ranger. The damage between anni and fomal is minimal, but anni also generates 0 enmity. The damage differential is not really all that great between relic and aeonic at R15.

Anni has enmity, apocalypse/bravura survivability, spharai counter but damage wise they are behind (some more, some less) and you not always need that utility. Also RNG is the most extreme example of relics utility being required and you still dont always need it. Other relics arent even close.

​@@SageAtoreis GS is still king for war 2hr revo spam, polearm def down is a godsend when you dont have other forms of def down easily applied and aftermath adds up rather nicely, relic katana is pretty much bis still etc. Theyre pretty much all very good and well worth making, and ofc horn and shield are required to even play those jobs.

@@duo1666 GS is not a king for Revo spam. Not even close. Even Montante+1 is better and if you need accuracy Ambuscade weapon is better. Ragnarok has too low delay with no bonuses to store tp and it break WS frequency too much for Revo spam. Def down on polearm is very situational. It doesnt stack with Angon and on any serious fight you will use Angon or some WS with 25% def down if you need def down. Stardiver with Aeonic is way too strong and darkness property on Stardiver adds a lot of damage, especially for solo DDing. Kikoku is on par with Aeonic, its not bis and for solo DDing Aeonic adds tons of skillchain damage. Empy katana is also underrated with its white damage.

Aeonics are basically just "kill a bunch of easy NMs" and since the Domain Invasion change farming the 50k beads has become quick and simple.

I'm late to the party but relics are definitely the easiest to make, I've spent about 50 mil gil on all the currency and items I'm at a stage 3 mandau. The painful part is getting the fortunes to drop.

Relics are easiest but most suck Mythics arnt too bad (I have murg R15 and gastra) but can finish just by doing simple stuff every now and then Empy’s require more work on the farming side And Aeonics depend on your linkshell situation

Aeonics are retardedly easy most of the NMs can be soloed if you have full mallignance set and that is also retardedly easy to get. You can solo all of Zi'Tah except the rabbit and certain jobs can even solo that.

Relic, Mythic, and Empyrean weapons are all easily made solo with a 99. While it does take a quite a bit of work, time, and grinding. These three really are not the hard to make. Just really takes time and patients.

While I did talk about some of the weapons and if they are good not. (kinda hard not to talk about that when you talking about all the ultimate weapons.) The main talking point was talking about each individually weapon type and how difficult they are to make.

I did watch and yes it became apparent you knew. The REMA wording confused me to what you were taking about. I knew them as Ultimate Weapons, with no other fancy terminology, so your title confused me a tad and I wrote that before watching.. Should have corrected myself and said something but fell alsleep.
