@infinityofgenesis Actually, you don't need to pass through A Dying World to get the Silver Chocobo; you just need to obtain the advanced moogle hunt ability by visiting the Mystic at Serendipity and obtain the advanced moogle hunt ability, and then proceed to obtain Silver Chocobo at Academia 4xx.

@puredruid I was counting the gold one as red since it teleports like the rest of em. The last one, you'll need the weather to be stormy (purple sky) and it'll be on the marsh land side towards the edge.

@JKforthewin I believe the one you are missing is the one that is in the far edge of the swamp it is invisible and only can be activated in the Cloudy weather (the weather Yomi's in) go to that place and have moggle to scan it then you will have it.

@bfmv7 this is a silver chocobo sentinel role. its at academia 4xx af i think, and a hidden monster.

@dschiter A couple tricks to pick on lil' old Yomi: deprotect/deshell to kill his defensive buffs (6x deprotect always turns his protect into deprotect for me), and a monster with Bravery Feeder and Faith Feeder to steal his offensive buffs. Don't bother with other debuffs, or Yomi will go immune and remove them before you can put them to use. Use sen/sen/sen if he uses Wicked Whirl and heal/buff your team when Yomi uses his barrier.

@Chandlaman I use Odin on this because of his extra boost when target endmy has debuffs and poison. Once deshell and posion are active I switch to offensive as Sarah sab, Noel commando and Odin, I just take the damage until he starts to heal then I heal and buff as well

I can't seem to find a mount/rideable chocobo at the archlyte steppe so I can fly and get to where Yomi spawns. :/ any suggestions?

@Dreaklov The Silver Chocobo is obtained by throwing Mog into that Green Sphere in Academia 4XX where you can Hope and the other researchers at the Academy Headquarters. But you need to have gone through A Dying World already.

Guys to get that chocobo go to academia 4XX then to hopes office sorta thing, there should be a big hologram of cocoon throw your moogle in the middle of it and you should get it dont worry about if it doesn't work the first time its like in the very middle of the hologram and can only be obtained if your throw mog, besides that cheersw for this video now i know where yomi is ;D

Yomi = Vercingatorix just use the same strategy for the vercingatorix to bring yomi down. Infiltration to cast poison and other debuffs while getting rid of his buffs, superiority when yomi cast impenetrable aura, and weather his wicked whirl with tortoise. Use recuperation to heal. Also, wound is the best way to witle down yomi's health.

@gimmieurBRAIN I have found 3 red ones (One near the nomad camp, one behind the cactuar statue and the other in the swamp), additionally I have found the yellow one that teleports you to the swamp and have killed all the gigantuar that spawn from all 3 green statues, where are the other 2 red ones you speak of? :p

@KoDSektor51 You have to talk to that one hunter dude in the room where you change the weather, he gives you a sidequest to kill him for the first time. After that, you can respawn him and kill him as much as you like But you may have to beat the sidequests for ochu and immortal first, I don't remember

So I have 11/12 fragments in the steppe. I beat the Long Gui, Ochu and Immortal monsters. I beat all the Gigantuars. I've exited and re-entered the steppe a bunch of times. I change the weather to stormy...but the Yomi quest still won't show up. Am I doing something wrong here?

It's basically preferable to use Romolus&Remus and Indrajit weapons as they have ATB+50% increase.

Ima using a different tactic, but failes every since time ... i just attack head on and hope he dies fast lol, but it's not working. Gonna try this setup later, im always fighting him along time and eventually he kills me in 1 hit (no sentinel) i thought i was just out of time or something ..? Another question, can ye get the Silver choco more then once? cuz i used mine for chocobo races and screwed up the stats i''m afraid, also heard Pulse gladiator is a nice sentinel to?

Can someone help me please? I've touched all of the cactuar stones (4 red, 1 amber and 3 green) and I went back to the camp. There were no quests. I changed the weather, exited to the historia crux and even restarted the game. No Chocobos and no side quests. Can someone tell me what I havn't done yet? (I have not accepted the quests inadvertently, by the way.) Thanks!

I use Sab/Sab/Sen until poison, then Com/Com/Sen until he goes in that shell. Then I use Med/Med/Med until he comes out, then back to Sab/Sab/Sen. Sen/Sen/Sen when he does Ultimate move and Med/Rav/Rav when wanting to heal but not lose stagger gauge. Easy as pie! :D But I have only got Trapzehedron once... -_-

@Gryphn80 Yomi is flying, as such it wouldn't be that effective to use him. Armor breaker is great, but Chichu can't jump, meaning he won't be much help, unless you focused on his magic stat. Besides Golden Chocobo can jump, and I believe you can infuse him with armor breaker.(I may be wrong) Plus it's magic stat is decent.

i believe its the tonberry, though it has a +35% not 30 but you also get +35% magic, which is hard to get rid of if you dont want it, so you might want to try cait sith which has +25% health. note that its been a month or so since ive played it, but if you're really stuck on where to find the health stat you should probably check the wiki or just google it ;gl

@13nohead You obviously have never fought this boss before, you genius. Attacking Yomi is useless. His Stagger threshold is 300% and he breaks it instantly with his barrier (and then heals). If you tried to damage him by attacking you'd be fighting him for hours. Poison is the only real way to kill him.

@makedaevilmage You don't just run off into things like a behoth's head cut off! Yomi stats increase half to its health. Silver & gold chocobo, Jumbo Cactuar, Odin, certain plant monsters and all throw monsters are 1 time. Don't worry Long Gui is easer than Yomi. But the stomping & Ultima can kill you.If good enough.You should be able to kill it before it even gets up once.This is considering your all levels 99. And fastest ATB weapons. It has its own music for the fight :-p

Your HP tells me you weren't yet max level so this may have been your best option at the time. This is a really good strategy for the first time fighting Yomi or for lower level challengers, but not very good for farming him. This is just my opinion as it takes much too long to kill with.

it is a waste having two durable collectors catalogs as the effects do NOT stack one maximises the effect , or even better , just find a creature that has Item collector and can infuse to another more useful creature ( Item scavenger too from another ) but abilities increase the odds to the same as the durable catalog without the wasting of accessory capacity , meaning you can then increase the str mag etc to your preference

i kill him everyday with less than 4 minutes fight < 2 com +1 sab most of the fight and when yomi does his wind thing change paradox and use the tank for fast elemental guard , then u dont need to heal just dps him untill yomi heal him self then u heal your group

yup, easy as ABC especially with chain bonus lv.5 weapons dropped by ochu. After poison switching on rav/rav/rav to get him stagger quick is the way =o After stagger just com/com/com for damage.
