The best grinding spot in the game is in Ma'habara, the secret area you get to by riding atomos from Sulya Springs. The 6 Cryohedrons that come out of the walls in one of the tunnels give 14000 CP with Growth Egg equipped. What makes this area better than any other is that its effortless. The battle can be won in under 2 seconds. Then you simply run back down the tunnel til you reach the end of the metal part to respawn them and repeat ad nauseum. You're looking at approximately 900,000 CP every hour for zero effort.

huhndaking777 Killing Adamantoise require actual effort though. If you're just trying to grind levels to beat the final chapters, just use the Cryohedrons. You won't even have the Death spell until you finish the game anyway, and it only works about 2% of the time. Though, If you're grinding for Vercingetorix, then yeah, Adamantiose are the way to go.

The best grinding spot I've found (2nd to Leviathan Plaza on Eden) is the Behemoth King and Megistotherian fighting each other in Chapter 11 - Archylte Steppe (Northern High Plain) before Mah'habara. They net you 13200 CP (with Growth Egg) and take between 25-30 secs, an easy 26400 CP/minute. After the battle, walk past the Save Point and turn around, they will respawn. I did this with Crystarium Lv 9 maxed (main roles) and no Tier 2 weapons. If you do have Tier 2 weapons, the battle takes no more than 15 secs. You can easily reach 999,999 CP/hour.

I had a nice little loop-around near the Mah'habara tunnel, about 10 battles there, and that was my grinding zone this playthrough😂 I was maxed in just a few days(had to go to work in between, but essently 2-3 days' time), then I progressed the story and managed to rack up almost 600k total so far with all this back and forth I'm doing with trying to also do Cie'th Stone Missions at the same time as the story on Gran Pulse😂 Here's my heads-ups for anyone who wants to try it out! Keep in mind I stuck with main roles, I didn't unlock anyone's extra roles. However, it's entirely up to you, and this is just a basic on what I personally did: With King Behemoths, they're super easy to beat if you get a preemptive on them, which isn't too hard. Start with a paradigm of either Rav/Sab/Sab or Rav/Rav/Sab. You'll De-buff him and finish raising his chain gauge at the same time since Sab is like a Com/Rav cross, minus the damage number. Curse and Daze are sadly the only things that work on him with Fang, but I believe Deshell works too, which Fang gets later in her Crystarium before you even get to Oerba. When he's debuffed to your liking, QUICKLY switch to a full Com and Rav variety paradigm of your choosing(try to put at least 1 Com in there that knows Launch so he can't transform while Staggered) and he'll be dead in seconds. The section just next to the path leading to the tunnel, it's a drop-down on the left, you'll find 3 packs of 4 Gorgonopsids and a Megistotherian in one of them. They're all pretty basic, but keep a Medic handy for their debuffs if they start giving you trouble. There's another Megistotherian leading a pack of 3 Gorgonopsids, as well as another two packs of just 4 Gorgonopsids. Against the ones with Megistotherians, start with a Saboteur paradigm because Pain and Fog work on it! It'll essentially be immobile, except it'll stick unlike Daze. If it's just Gorgonopsids, hack em till they die and don't fret with debuffing! If you unlocked Cactuars by going to the Oretoise territory and watching Sazh's cutscene there, that's another 5k or more, depending on how much you want to let it grow. If you can't handle more than its first form, start with a paradigm that has Syn and either Com or Rav so you get Enfire buff and also stop the Cactuar from growing by attacking it. You can put a Sab in but Daze is the only thing that works on it so it's meh. Daze does cause the next attack to do extra damage, though. If you wanna wait for the Cactuar to grow, set up a paradigm like in this video where everyone else isn't attacking. You can be on an attacking role if you want, which is safe since you control the leader. For the Megistotherian vs. Behemoth King, make sure to go after the Behemoth King first!!! You can skip debuffs for the time being, just get rid of him! He's much stronger than the Megistotherian if you don't kill him before he transforms, and he'll also turn his attention to you after transforming instead of staying focused on the Megistotherian! With the Megi, follow the tips I gave above for the Megi and Gorgonopsids. I was able to keep one stable list of paradigms for all of these, my only changes being who was leader and which paradigm I started with, which are quick changes. You're obviously welcome to use shrouds since they'll help you out, especially with the Megi vs Behemoth! I was doing these with just 2500-3k health as well until I finally hit the max 4k+ from the main roles, so don't worry too much about being underdeveloped either! Happy hunting!💙

Thanks for the video tutorial! I followed this video's tutorial and discovered better strategies! Here's a grinding tip of my own that enhances this video's grinding tips: start off as Synergist (Fang), Sentinel (Snow), Synergist (Hope) and have Hope buff everyone up the same way this video shows (I recommend casting Libra on all three Cactuar forms to get Hope to do the exact strategies, which only needs to be done during the first Prime Cactuar battle) and have Fang buff Hope up with Faithra and herself up with Bravera, during the cactuar's growing process (Fang doesn't need the ability Boon because of how fast you defeat Prime Cactuar, you just need the abilities Bravera and Faithra). This method allows you to easily defeat the Prime cactuars earlier on in the game (as early as Snow having 9,000-10,000 maximum HP and equipped with the Black Belt, a Diamond Bangle, a Platinum Bangle and Paladin (no upgrading required) or even less HP could work too, it will just involve Hope having to do some curing with Curasa), after the second last crystarium upgrade from defeating Barthandelus the second time. Also, be sure to get and equip the Growth Egg to get 30,000 CP points per Prime Cactuar battle, instead of 15,000. I hope you all find this information helpful if you want early rapid grinding!

you need to let the cactuar "evolve" by letting him do his dances, once it says Mature, he will grow into a larger cactuar, defeating him in his evolved form nets 15,000CP or if you have the growth egg equipped then you can get 30,000CP

@TheOfficalJory you need to go to the "Eastern Tors" area. Look for the circle of cieth stones, then (while facing the cliff) go left until you find an Adamantortoise in a path between two cliffs. Go past it (it's not hard) and follow follow the cliff around to the left. There is an Adamanchield blocking the way to some "steps" up the cliff, and I'm not sure if you need to kill it or not to get past. At the top, you'll get a scene with a cactaur. Now, cactaurs can be found like normal enemies.

Little late, but it's because of abilities like fearsyphon, which give you little extra bits of ATB when you attack an enemy and a certain condition is met. Apparently, they always display as blue when this happens, even though normally the hasted ATB gauge would be displayed red. It then turns back to red if you do not hit the enemy for a short while, so within a slow combo you might get a back-and-forth between red and blue bars.

One of my favorite spots to grind is Mission #34. The enemy is a Tonberry who you can kill in 30 seconds if you Debuff him first. 15,000 CP (with "Growth Egg") + 7 Bomb Cores. Fight him 14 times in 30 minutes and you'll have 210,000 CP + 98 Bomb Cores useful for Upgrading. The Cieth Stone and Mark are not far apart so the enemy reappears without having to go through the hassle of saving and reloading. Try it!

if you want a really good spot for CP just do the Titan's Trials in the Faultwarrens. A couple of paths give ~120000CP, and you can go through all battles in just 20 minutes. Way faster than any CP spot i've learned of.

Actually, the *best* spot to farm CP is at the end of Chapter 13. The Wladislaus there gives 32k CP per battle, and so does the Jabberwocky/Bandersnatch combo. If you are smart enough to get the Growth Egg at some point before this (via Death), then you will get 64k per battle. Of course, this is only available before you beat the game, so you can't use it to max out Stage 10. However, if you're going to do so later, then use this spot to max out *all* of Stage 9 and the max 999,999 reserves.

I was wonderin if i complete the main story could i do the c'ieth stones afterwards or do i have to do them as i go along in the game? You can also try going inside Mah'habara. There's one area near a dead end with about 6 Bombs spawning from the wall. They give out about 20k CP at 4 second cycle times (well for me that is) with growth egg. They're pretty easy considering you're probably farming CP in post game.

you might also try using the rapid growth paradigm with fang, snow, and lightning. if you've leveled ur syn's then you can get most of the buffs before it turns prime including enfire (cactuar weakness) then just use either 2 com's and a sen, or 3 com's. doing it this way it usually takes about 44 seconds a fight for me.

Try just replaying mission 24. You can win each battle in under 30 seconds, taking about 2 fights a minute. Each fight you get (with growth egg) 12k CP and a moonblossom seed word 6k Gil. Can't imagine any grinding spot as effective on both CP and Gil

@DarthFart94 theres an area to the north wheres theres like 5 long gui's, theres also a small hill beside them, just search all the map if you wanna be sure and you get a cutscene with them, carefull though, they are really tough at the beginning.

Nice video, but I use Fang , Hope and Snow , I use COM / RAV / SEN , SYN / SYN / SYN and COM / MED / SEN ( If healing is nedeed ) , at first with Fang I Bravera and Faithra on Hope and Fang , and cast Veil on Snow , when Hope cast Enfire on himself and on Fang , the cactuar has already grown up , and then I switch to COM / RAV / SEN. Some players are better off fighting the Megisto (can't spell the name very well) and Behemoth you always get pre-emptive strikes and the fight lasts for 2 seconds. After battle just run up the hill past the save point then run back down the hill and the monsters respawn out of thin air, this worked for me both 360 and PS3 versions.

@takatakatang Yes that is true, but to get gil you need a strong party that can kill Adamantoise's easy. Some people don't agree and think that there is other ways to get cash faster but that is not true, if you can kill the tortoises easily which is not hard and with a 25% Platinum Ingot drop rate you will get alot of money VERY fast!

Best grinding spot is actually Mususshu quest in Taijins Tower... 6000 cp each battle and pretty easy ti do. Just use Tri-Disaster and Cerberus lol well if ur high stats. If ur just going in idk what strat u shud use but I'd say go back and grind on it when ur near end game and after u beat it. Really simple and easy cp :) (if anyone knows a better grinding spot lemme know :P)

i think the best way to get cp is to kill that group of six bombs in Mah'habara. All you have to do is cast quake and finish off survivors, It takes like 10 seconds and you get 14000 cp if you have the growth egg. Then just run away a little bit so they can respawn and repeat.

it turn blue to red and back again mean that gauge added a little bit of meter to the gauge while it's blue(Notice the gauge/bar didn't empty after Fang finish up her fifth combos)and the red is just normal gauge on haste buff. There's an item or weapon that let you add little bit amount of meter while you're attacking the enemy so you don't need to wait the gauge too much to full to make your next move. Sorry to disappoint you but there's nothing special about this.

Anyone else find it odd that he says 1.8 million xp/hour. Yet it is taking him about 4 and half minutes in video to kill 2 of them. Thats less then 30 per hour. thats less the 800k xp/hour. Anyway I think he is just multiplying xp times battle time, which would be great if you could just fight non stop over and over without moving an inch.

Eh, I grinded for CP in the Mah'habra cave on the ice bombs. I was making 200k CP every 8-10 minutes and you get bomb cores which is nice.

The uploader most likely has a Growth Egg which doubles your CP. If you don't have one, I suggest you do the mission to get it as it makes farming CP that much faster.

i find its easier to just kill the two big creatures fighting each other down the hill where he starts off at u get like 6.5k cp without the egg and u can kill them in about 10 secounds if you do it right because u can always pre-strike them then just walk up the hill and turn around and they respawn

Cactuars are located across the map after doing a certain mission, and he used a sentinel because of the Cactuar using 1000 needles constantly, so Fang would not have her attack interrupted.

actually it's best to go through the fault warrens a bunch of times. you can pull 100k with out the growth egg down a certain path. then go to the orotoises. can't say i didn't beat on these annoying cactus for a while though.

Why the hell would you do this when you can kill the two instant staggers by the same save point for 13K every 4 seconds?

actully chapter 13 when u are at the last "map shifter" before him/her there is som mobs that give 32000 cp for killing them, 5 min to gain 140000 cp. and the drops are awsome :) man it takes sooo long time to max out everything and get lvl up everything :( but it is funny no ? _^_

@Muhahahahaz With this method, you will easily get 2.5-3 million CP per hour. Post-game, I would go after the instant staggers. Much easier and faster.
